Honestly I think this album is amazing. Why do people hate like they're not gonna keep the same sound of music their whole career. That's when people just complain they've gotten old and stop listening if you ask me but Crown The Empire definitely grew together as a band and this album puts them up top for me tbh with all their guitar solos and each chorus is amazing all the lyrics are very deep. I love Crown The Empire so I'll always be a fan & if they go under oh well I'll just listen to all their good songs still so stop hating. They're a good band hands down very damn strong one if you ask me.

Personally (As a very dedicated Crown the Empire fan/ Runaway recruit) I think the album is amazing. People think you need to know the whole story to listen to it and everything but that isn't the case. The album is in chronological order and ties in with their album "The Fallout" (So listen to the fallout before the resistance). Honestly if you don't know the story by now, I suggest you listen to both the albums to fully understand. The story isn't that complicated and it's in order. The lyrics all tie in with each other. So if you're really gonna hate on this album because "It isn't as heavy" or "It doesn't make sense" or "It's nothing like limitless" or "because you shouldn't have to listen to the previous album before the new one", that's fine, but you need to chill. No artist keeps the same sound their whole music career. (Bad example) But look at Sleeping With Sirens. Think of their album "Lets Cheers to This" and "Feel". Both we're great albums (No offense but I didn't really like feel [That's just me though]) They had completely different sounds, but it was still the same band. I don't know. Again, I think Crown the Empire is pretty freaking phenomenal. If you don't that's your opinion, just don't be douche about it.

I hear the static drawing nearer, there's no way out I breathe the eyes and let the fire die I keep on feeling in the chemicals I need to breathe, but how could something so important not belong to me I can't pretend like I'm the one who's gonna change this But all I know is that our time is running out I get so tired lighting fires when I know we still have so much better effort to go So how much longer must I wait to fill this emptiness I make mistakes and that my dreams slip through the cracks I've seen such hate surround the inside of this dark abyss But all this pain just makes me certain that there's luck for me to find a brighter path And out of the dust to see the light creep in and no it won't be long But let's confide, cause at least in the dark no one else can see who you really are So bring me, raise up your guns and blame me for all of your wrongs Seems hate is all I have left Yeah it's all I have left It's the only thing that's left of me I get so tired lighting fires when I know we still have so much better effort to go So how much longer must I wait to fill this emptiness I make mistakes and that my dreams slip through the cracks I've seen such hate surround the inside of this dark abyss But all this pain just makes me certain that there's luck for me to find a brighter path So when you feel like you're falling under Holding onto the things you thought you loved Will you let all of the things you run from Chew you up and spit you out (There's so much now) I get so tired lighting fires when I know we still have so much better effort to go I get so tired lighting fires when I know we still have so much better effort to go So how much longer must I wait to fill this emptiness I make mistakes and that my dreams slip through the cracks I've seen such hate surround the inside of this dark abyss But all this pain just makes me certain that there's luck for me to find a brighter path (Find a brighter path!) Don't be scared, we'll see the lights go out

I believe I have never related to a song like this, an album like this in a while! Call me a fanatic tasteless shit, but I loved old CTE, I loved The Fallout. THIS is a major step-up from all that. May I also say that they only got better as a band. They're growing up together and you can see that in them and their music. I saw them play on the Vans Warped Tour just recently at Orlando. Their crowd was fucking hellacious, they killed it! I saw them their first year on Warped last year, when they had the Ernie Ball stage. A much smaller but packed crowd, and to think they've blown up like this in only a year. It is incredible!! I feel close to them as a band. That is how you know they're a success.
