Hi Candlelight. Thank you. 🤗 I have never done that or tried to do that, but I have seen people request special exceptions and get off at a port and stay. I have been told there there are special fees involved, but no, I've never done that and am not aware of that option. I'm sure it would just be a phone call to the cruise lines to find out. I cruised about once a year prior to retirement (2024), and that was expensive enough. I also know liking balconies, which increases my expense. Only question, at the very top, I see you can get upto $500 onboard credit? Is carnival saying if you squeeze 5 people in a cabin, you can get $100 a person, or this means something different? Good question! 📌 Thanks, I did my own hair this time! 😆🙌💅 The amount of the onboard credit is normally based on the cabin size. For instance [I'm totally making these numbers up for illustration purposes], you can probably get $50 on an interior, $200 on a balcony, $500 on a grand suite, etc. I've never sailed with 5 people in a cabin...ew! But if you sail with 2 people, for sure, it gets split up. When my sister sailed with me, I told her up front, the WHOLE $200 OBC is ALL MINE! lol. Thanks for watching and thanks for the question. 🚢

🤗For safety reasons, I don't give out my itinerary ahead of time. While I love conversing in the chat and sharing this content, I don't personally know subscribers and cannot see who is behind the scenes so it would not be wise for me to discuss that in advance. If we are going to be on a ship at the same time, it will have to be by happenstance. Sorry. There are just too many unknowns in our current world and being a solo female traveler, I have to be extra cautious. I hope you understand. I see more seasoned cruise experts doing group cruises and perhaps when I get more experience, that will be something for me to look forward to doing. Until then, I would say, book your cruise based on what's best for you. I can say that I will be on Carnival ships during those months - Orlando/Port Canaveral in February and Texas in March. 🌹💜🙏

📌 Great questions. I had to go look up the first one! 😅 The answer is 5! First 4 were in 2001, 2011, 2015, 2017 and I took the kids & grandkids on Carnival Celebration for Mother's Day 2023 which is when I started getting offers [reference my 1st video - link in the description]. Now that I live on ships and already have too many offers, I only play in the casino sparingly as I have a misc budget of $500 a month which includes any "spending" money. 🤑🎰 I include this info in my monthly expense videos so check those out. The only breaks are 5 days this Thanksgiving, a month in Barcelona while the ship is in dry dock and a break July of 2024 [to get my health screenings, dental, etc]. 🚢

What equals a good deal?? Do you have a price limit for number of nights?? Example: no more that $200 for 3 days or $500 for 5 days. How much do you spend for the longer cruises like 7,9 or 12 days??

Hi. This question has a complicated answer. I think you are majoring on the minor as what is a good deal for me, will not be the same for you, because we will have different budgets and wants/needs... but to answer your question: for me, a good non-casino deal is $100 or less per person so $1400 for a 7 day cruise is fine. I don't have a set "rule" except to try to stay within $2k a month for cruises/hotels. Examples: *Venezia 10 day cruise for $246 plus $160 gratuities = $406 / 10 days ~ $41/day. That's a no-brainer for me. Book it now! *But I also have a 16 day cruise for $167. With $256 gratuities, that comes to about ~$26/day *But I also have a 4 day cruise that is $763 plus $64 gratuities = $207/day. I booked it because the cruises before and after it are on the same ship for much less making the overall costs fall within my budget. I don't think that will help you but it answers your question....kind of! 🤗

Hello again 👋 hahaha.... first of all, why do you stay in your room? Unless I'm editing KZbin videos or just having one of those "I'm just staying in to binge watch TV all day" days, I'm hardly in my cabin other than to bathe & sleep. There is so much to do and see all around the ship. I have cruised with quite a few Balcony and Oceanview cabins (I'm in an Oceanview on Independence of the Seas right now) and I hardly ever went out on the balcony or looked out of the window. I do like to get fresh air; I typically go for a morning walk on the top deck and I will go sit out on the helipad or the lanai occasionally while listening to downloaded content on my phone, but not enough where I need those types of cabins. For B2Bs, I have a mixture of moving to different cabins and staying in the same cabin. It just depends on what was available at the time that I booked the cruises. I have one set of cruises later next year where I am in the same interior cabin for 14 back-to-back sailings [4, 5 & 6 day cruises]. I am new to the channel.. I have been cursing since March of 2022. I am curious when you stated you have booked your cruises for Carnivl, Royal, and Virgin.. Are those for the year ahead ? Are you receiving those offers from carnival due to gambling in the casino?? As much as I would LOVE to cruise year round.. My husband wont move me out of the state of Florida. I dont think I will be a let o get him to cruise year round with me LOL We typically take about 3 cruises a year.. I would like to start doing more, but I will say the cheapest I have paid is $1100 and that did not include gratuities. It was on Utopia of the Seas and we booked it the first day you were able to book for that ship so the deal was not bad, but it did not let me add on the things I typically prepay during booking and I totally forgot to go back and add it. I will not make that mistake again … Anyway. We have mainly stayed with Royal since that is where we started and to move up in the Loyalty status. We are taking a transatlantic cruise in 2025 for our 25th wedding Anniversary. I am very excited, but I would LOVE to learn how to book smaller trip that are not so expensive. The utopia was 4 days and I realize it is a brand new ship, but we only went to the Bahamas and back to Canaveral. I cant see people paying much more than we did for that trip even if it is on a new ship. I almost felt like it was too much. I mean most trips include a stop at Coco Cay I prefer to avoid it LOL I like to stay on the ship and relax. How long have you been cruising for? Do you ever get sick of cruise food? I find it all starts tasting the same after a few days LOL

GREAT QUESTION!✍Nope. My 1st cruise on this full-time journey was out of Miami, but I was living in Atlanta before then. Now that I have sold everything and do not have a traditional "home", there is nowhere that I call a home base although my kids & grandkids are in Orlando and Atlanta so I will frequent those cities when I do decide to take a vacation from sailings. 🤗

What is back to back and side to side?

Back to back is you are staying on the same ship for multiple sailings without any gaps in between. Side to side is taking a different ship when getting off one. For examples: I sailed on Independence of the Seas Nov 30 - Dec 5 and Dec 5 - Dec 9. Those were back-to-back. Then on Dec 9, I got off Independence of the Seas and got on Allure of the Seas on Dec 9 at the same port. That is considered side by side cruises. 🚢

Hi there. Lunelle is the comedian, I'm Lynnelle! Probably auto-text did that, right? Auto text hates my name. 😆Anywho... ALL of the casinos on the ships are smoking. SOME ships have an additional non-smoking area [Vista, Venezia, etc] or have an area designated for non-smoking like one side of the room, but you will likely encounter smoke unless the casino is in a different area like on Royal's Allure of the Seas.
