Oh man! I have friends I cruise with that are on the 6/12 voyage on the AD OTS. I have looked a few times but lately the price was a little much for going to temps like they would be at home. The water is a little different. Lake Erie just does not look the same as the Caribbean, as you can probably attest. I will have to have them look for you and say "Hi!" for me. Looking forward to getting caught up. Oh man. 10 DAYS!!

I’ve been wondering this for awhile... while your on board how do you get your skates sharpened? Do you find a pro-shop in the turn around port/town, or do you use a sharping stone, etc?

Depends on what job you have, there are a lot of different positions on a ship.

The fact that maybe, just maybe crew won't be able to disembark on port days is crazy.. People can't just live on a ship for half a year without leaving. Give them that part of the day off they heavily deserve.

The cooks and servers never ever get to leave the ship and some employees stay below deck and never see the sun. It's a horrible industry.

@@michelledesjadon1476 because cruise ships are not subjected to min wage requirements or even other rules meant to protect employees. All of the cooks and room attendants are hired internationally from countries like the Philippines and India where min wage is incredibly low, paid slightly above that amount, and they work seven days a week over 12 hours a day and send money back home. Its exploitation and they never get off days or to see the sun sometimes. And they live two or more in a small room. It's absolutely horrible conditions. It's not fun at all.
