I think it's fun to do a cruise with friends. My husband and I have cruised with his brother and his husband in the Caribbean and Gulf of Mexico and the Yucatan peninsula. Great fun.

Used to cruise on Holland America lines back in the 80s and 90s, when cruise ships were much smaller and, imo, much better. Who wants to vacation on what amounts to be a small city?

❤❤❤❤ the car banter is funny, I love watching these car talks! 🤣🤣 more car banter 😆 😅 you 2 make my day! I think the most hilarious part and differences between an American like me and watching someone from Europe like 2 two, is the driving 2hrs is nothing and 6 hours is a lot but still nothing! I've moved half of the US by myself from SC to Nebraska in 2 days! I could of done it in 1 and half but I didn't want to die lol 😂 😂

So I haven’t lost my mind, you are in Spain. Isn’t it exciting, the room looks nice and you have a balcony for coffee and maybe a cocktail in the early evening before dinner. It is TENTERhooks -- hooks, logically enough, used to fasten cloth onto a tenter (a rack onto which cloth is fastened for drying or other similar treatment.) The problem with many of these old expressions is that we no longer use the manufacturing, falconry, blacksmithery, etc. terms upon which they are based.

I went on the Carnival Cruise ship a few months ago. I took books with me to read. It was quite hot on the top deck of the ship. I got a little sunburned from sitting outside too long. The library on the ship didn’t have new books on the ship they had a lot of old books and I preferred the books I had. They had this quiet area on the ship with these bed/hammocks that were wonderful !!!! I loved the quiet area and the candy shop. The pool was always full with people. It was nice to walk around the ship at night.

Yay, I love a good cruise! ❤ My 2 favs are Royal Caribbean and Disney. I know Disney has kids on it, but Disney is SO top notch that it’s just an excellent cruise line overall. So much so that I’ve done 4 of those. 🙂 Can’t wait for the rest of the footage, and I hope there’s more cruise puns, can never get enough! 😂

We loved Cunard - Their Queen Elizabeth was a whole different world. P&O was also OK, but definitely not fussed on Carnival which was noro-virus city.

You have to play "Celebrity" road trip game. You can do any celebrity name (music, tv, movies, etc.) or you can do categories like sports celebrities. Anyway, a person starts - they say a name like "Tom Cruise". The next person has to start the name with the first letter of the last name of the previous person so cruise leads to the next player saying, "Chris Pratt", and Pratt leads to "Penn Bagley" which leads to "Bobbie Brown," etc. For single name celebs like Cher, we just use the last letter so Cher would lead to "Robert redford," etc. I think you both would be good at the game!

The one cruise I went on to Alaska gave discounts on cabins with what’s called “obstructed” view which could be anything. I got a rear cabin on an upper deck with unobstructed porthole.😂

I've done Disney Cruise Line, Norwegian, Royal Caribbean, Princess, Celebrity, Holland America, Carnival, and MSC. Try Disney. Perfect if the kiddos are with you, but even if not, they offer good adult-only spaces -- and top notch service and accommodations. Other good ones for adults are Princess and Celebrity (both really good). Holland America too, but tends to skew quite a bit older. Five cruise ports here in Florida, so I have lots of choices!

I’m in Cairns, Australia and my partner and I did a cruise to Papua New Guinea and the Solomon Islands….it was amazing!!! Would love to do a Virgin Cruise one day.

Cruises make me nervous. Every time my sister goes on one she talks about how most of the ship comes down with some sort of illness and it spreads like wildfire because everyone stuck there together. I do think it's a good way to visit a few different places for those that pop into different tropical islands. I think I would rather do an all inclusive resort someplace tropical and hang out in the local area. I'm a fairly boring person and would be happy planted in one place that has a beautiful view of a beach and nice shops to walk around a bit. I hope you all enjoyed the trip!

I leave tomorrow for Miami, where I’ll board my first-ever cruise the following day. (I’m 58.) 8 days in the Caribbean on Carnival. I’m a bit stressed that I haven’t figured out what I need to book but haven’t yet, etc. I’ve no idea what to expect. Meeting up with a group of online friends, only one of whom I’ve met before. Wild. Wish me luck? All advice is welcome! 🙋‍♀️💐

It's hard to recommend another Cruise line because it really depends on the type of cruise you would enjoy. There are resort-style cruises, more upscale / premium cruises, and then ultra luxury Cruise lines. There are good ones in every category

Have you seen Virgin’s reported plans for refits? They are awful. Expanding the casino, putting a cocktail bar in the Galley, many more VIP suites (which means less normal ones), and a new VIP area on what is currently the main outside deck (again taking away from normal passengers). They really are style over substance.

Viking Cruise Lines you can take Antarctica Cruises or Canadian Great Lakes Cruises Carnival Cruise Caribbean they a family cruise line but do have adult areas
