I rode through Texas a few years back. Long and boring as Hell. Hot, dusty, and flat. Yet another reason I love living next to the mountains in northeastern Tennessee. Colorado is a beautiful state to ride through in certain parts. The mountains are gorgeous! My favorite out west was Utah! Beauty at another level of its own!! Thanks for sharing your adventure! Glad you made it home safely as well.

Hi Cruiseman, a bonus ride on the Million Dollar Highway! It does get cold in the mountains at elevation. The long boring part of the ride is much easier to tolerate when you are headed out to Colorado than when you are headed back home. Another fantastic video! Thank you for sharing!

Great finale. I too just finished my 6400 mile 14 day experience. Thank goodness for cruise control for those long interstate slab rides. You always know when you’re nearing home by the insane traffic. Once again great series about your ride to Colorado, and also great to meet both you and Robert.

Boring Texas highway? Not even close! You've got to ride the Trans Canada from Calgary to Medicine Hat, Alberta. 3 hours of agony! I equal it to pushing pencils in my eyes. It is crushing flat and zero to look at. As for NM highways, we'd kill for roads as smooth! Last time I was in Plano, TX it was 107 degrees, I almost died! I'd never experienced heat over 80F up here in the north country. And now, alas, it is time to put the Goldwing away for winter and dream of the day in late April when it can come out of hibernation! Ride safe!!

If you ever go up that way again, when you head home go east from Durango to Pagosa Springs down through Chama, it's a much nicer ride than going to Farmington and down to Albq.

With the first part of the ride where the temps fell into the 30's a heated shirt from Warm and Safe would had been the ticket for comfort...you simply turn the dial with the remote controller and you are comfortable no matter the temps.

Why on earth do you keep on insisting on cranking up the background music volume to ear splitting levels and then come on with your very soft low volume voice, it is totally annoying, you are ruining your own videos.
