These aren’t the exact one but they’re a similar style. I like them as they’re slimline but be aware they’re not as protective as the large ones. amzn.to/3S8Jix7

I have a question. I am just beginning to skate outdoors. But I am having a hard time trying to skate on a larger surface where there is nothing anywhere to grab onto or sit down. I started skating in my tiny kitchen, where there were plenty of things to grab onto when I got scared. Then when I tried skating outside, I only skated in a small space where again, there were things to grab onto. But I want to be able to skate in a larger space so I can actually SKATE and not just do a couple of bubbles before running out of space. What can I do to try and get past that fear? Every time I try, I just stand there with my heart racing and can't bring myself to do it. Any advice?

Honestly this is absolutely normal. Have you got all the safety gear? I feel that having the safety gear gives you somewhere safe to bail to and can really help with over coming the fear xx

@@Skatie yes. I have the Triple 8 helmet, knee & elbow pads and wrist guards. I even went so far as to get the butt pads! I look silly, but I wanted as much protection as I could get! But even with all that, I get too scared . I want so badly to get past this and to actually start skating. I used to skate all the time when I was a kid. But as a 55 year old starting again, I'm terrified.

You seems to have a lot of smooth outdoor skating surfaces? Pretty much nothing where I live in Melbourne. It's al about bicycles and walking the dog. Everything is full of cracks and horrible gaps.

I use a lot of cycle paths mainly. They tend to be new surfaces, so nice and smooth.

Could you post a link or model of the wheel you reccomended on the video? I have this problem on certain more rough path that i always have to keep pushing and never get to enjoy the glide, i`m using a 78a wheel

hi! great vid :) i got my roller skates yesterday and i’m still pretty bad but your vids are helping :D the wheels are 54x32 and i’m not sure what surface they’re meant for.. are they ok for outside? i want softer wheels but they’re expensive and im so confused aaaa pls somebody help 😅😅

Got the forwards cruising nailed down, doing bubbles and scissors super fast round the basketball court is extreme fun (feels like flying) and a great bonus inner thigh workout. Managed backwards too this week 🥳🥳🥳🥳 (first time since breaking a wrist last year 😂), still wobbly going backwards mind you but can only improve 😎🦄🛼 Still think you should come up north and teach a class hehe hint hint 🤓😎🦄 Happy Easter Skatie 🛼🦄👍🏼
