Maestro! Thank you so much for just filming and everyday riding video in one of the greatest cities in the Western world on a motorcycle from one of the longest continuously owned and operated motorcycle factories in Europe! This is great material for manifesting my own Moto Guzzi. I've only visited Vienna once and it was for an audition at the Vienna Staatsoper. It was one of the greatest moments of my adult life and a dream come true even if it was just for a day. You are definitely doing what I had wanted to do since I moved to Europe. Really cool! If cool has a physical form, it would have a transverse V twin.

@@tokyosmash transverse is when the crankshaft is perpendicular to the direction of travel. Almost all FWD cars and motorcycles are transverse. Bikes like the BMW GS with boxer engines are longitudinal, same with Moto Guzzi's.

@@strmopizdin Nah, Jensfos is right, should definitely judge by the crankshaft. Some sources say that V-twins specifically are an exception to the rule but that's nonsense, why would they be? Most bikes use transverse engines, with the crankshaft being "transverse" compared to the direction of travel. That's where the name comes from. In the Guzzi's (and even boxer BMW's) the engine may "look" like it's transverse because it's wider than it's long, but it's very clear that it's actually longitudinal when you realize which way the crankshaft is oriented compared to the direction of travel.

Hello! I really liked your video. I have a question for you, is it possible to service MG without having a dealer, it's just that these are so unique and distinctive bikes that I just don't see an alternative to them? For more than a hundred years, bikes have been produced at the same factory, almost manually, who can "boast" about it now. Thanks!

I'm glad you liked it! Unfortunately, I don't own this bike. Compared to other modern bikes, the V7 is rather simple built. Simple maintenance task shouldn't be a problem if you know what you are doing.

Beautiful. Do you find that the change of the exhaust has altered throttle response/progression, and vibration? Or none of this at all?

No, none of this. It’s just a slip-on exhaust. According to ZARD, there should be an small increase in HP. But nothing noticeable (except the awesome sound ofc)

I'm considering this bike as well as royal Enfield super meteor 650 SME has less vibrations In here you can see mirrors shaking due to the engine cylinders positioning. Need to test ride both of them

Yeah, the Guzzi really shakes a lot due to the V2! Personally, I love it. If you don't like that the the SME is the way to go. But the Guzzi with its 850 ccm motor has more power.

@@flesz_ The vibrations might disappear on higher rpms but since it is an V2 I had the feeling the engine likes lower rpms more for the low rpm torque. But I couldn’t ride it outside the town so I’m not sure about that.

Leider nicht meine V7. Der Mistral ist lediglich ein Slip-on - kann bestimmt jede fähige Werkstatt montieren (mit etwas Geschick bestimmt auch selber zu wechseln)

How does the shifting feel with the dry clutch? I've heard it's not very smooth, which might push me away a bit from buying it as my first bike.

As you can hear on the first gear change (neutral -> 1) it's a little bit clonky. Personally, I loved it and got used to it pretty quickly.

hello... is the moto Guzzi v7 resistant when driving in the rain or is it advisable to ride it in the rain?

I had the Moto Guzzi just for one day. So I don’t have any experiences riding in the rain. I ride my Royal Enfield Interceptor alle year, including Winter, without any issues. I wouldn’t expect anything less from the Guzzi.

Shaft drive, so you won’t have to worry about the chain in the rain.
