Tamers is one of the most influential show I ever watched growing up when I think about my tastes in media

Digimon Tamers from what I recall was directed by someone who was very passionate and devoted to telling dark emotional stories, that set tamers apart from all previous entries. You can see a lot more character development drama and social issues, family problems and the like in that particular series. Theres plenty of documentary style videos on KZbin and other media that go into detail on why Tamers was so dark and sometimes even grim.

@@JT5555 I haven't watched Last Evolution yet, I do have it but I haven't watched it yet. But from what I hear is there's mixed feelings about the possible messages being sent. If it's the fact that they are pushing the message that sometimes things in life happen and we're not sure why but we must carry on, then I can get behind that. But if the message is give up a deep connection to someone that really serves no purpose to leave but is just leaving for the sake of leaving and you have to "grow up and accept it" really comes off as a horrible message made purely to sweep old fans under the rug in order to cater to a new younger consumerist market.

Whoa, I knew the digimon movie was originally 3 movies combined. But I didn't realize the first part was aired before the first episode of the anime. That really changes the perspective of the person watching. Someone that saw the movie first would have so much more understanding of the scene with Kari when Tai went back, and everyone remembering the events during the fight with Mammothmon.

I will never forget this beautiful moment of being in the same room with fans who adore the series and the song (Germany covered butterfly as its opening and I think that was a great choice! I had EVERYTHING Digimon when I was a kid. I had the entire series on VHS,I had a Veemon alarm clock,bed sheets,every action figure you could think of,every digivice in every color. My favorite thing I had was a custom wooden cut of out Greyson my mom had specially made. My mom went on a lot of business trips to Japan so whenever she was there she would buy whatever we couldn’t find in the stores over here and then just mail it back home. Did anyone really find Digimon: The Movie hard to follow? I mean, yeah, if you weren't up to date with the show it'd be very difficult to understand (which is fairly normal for movie spin-offs of TV shows) but if you were it's very easy to follow the three stories and where they fit in timeline wise. I was totally satisfied by it as a kid, finally getting to see the Highton View Terrace incident in full, the super fun battle through the internet and then an interesting fresh side story with the new, current cast of the show, and all of it with _way_ more slick animation than anything you'd ever see in the show. I honestly like the changes that were made to the plot as well, Willis being Diaboromon's creator makes Diaboromon a more interesting, tragic character and having the virus that infected him take over Kokomon too, again, makes the situation much more personal and tragic, rather than having Kokomon's infection be totally random like in the original. The third segment/Hurricane Touchdown is just generally more watchable in it's dubbed form, even though it's heavily edited down it really loses nothing important (the original is kind of a slog). The overall writing in the movie is a noticeable step up from the show's quality during the first two seasons too, the added jokes are better and land much more often. My only major criticism of the movie would be it's handling of the first segment, the impeccable atmosphere of the original is totally buried under the excessive narration. Sorry I ended up going on so much, as you can tell I'm a big defender of the movie, I really think they did a good job of meeting the seemingly impossible task they were given of turning 3 separate movies into a single enjoyable feature.

I literally grew up watching season 1,2 and 3 dubbed on fox kids, and yea there are the cringy bad moments, but honestly its not that bad, especially when you compare it to the reboot of season 1.... i really wanted to like it, but it just felt so rushed all the time, there was no fun episodes it was just "oh we defeated ogremon" 5 secs later "now machinedramon" defeated and 5 secs later "now devimon" and its like.... ok can we like have a funny episode where the group kinda just chills and talks about i dunno, the fact that they thought there was one celestial digimon but now 2 or any of that shit... it just feels so rushed.

I just got back to the original series because I never finished it when I was a kid. Even better now: Watching the original Japanese dub. I'm impressed of how intriguing, funny, and moving it is...! I'm totally hooked. To Digimon experts: To watch the complete "official timeline" of the original cast, I must watch: DIGIMON ADVENTURE (currently watching), DIGIMON ADVENTURE 2, the DIGIMON TRI single season, and DIGIMON LAST EVOLUTION KIZUNA, right? I didn't have WB network only way to get it is to buy Cable....Yep Cable. had the local TV Stations so FOX was one of them. love waking up every Saturday mornings to watch Digimon, Monster Rancher, Godzilla The Series, Beast Machines or Sherlock Holmes the 22th century. I love that I found this Video. Had a Blast going to the Theaters watching Adventure Tri. Tamers indeed is my favorite Series due to it's Dark Nature. I love Xros Wars, but I think the Manga is a lot better since the Protagonists actually recruit Classic Digimon. Also the Dub missed out on the Legendary Heros Episode which was pretty epic seeing all the Team Leaders going all out.

I‘m so glad Germany chose to cover the song despite not having the same lyrics but at least the same song base.... it‘s just my childhood melody no matter if it’s in German or in Japanese. I remember going to the first digimon tri movie and everyone started to sing the opening..... I will never forget this beautiful moment of being in the same room with fans who adore the series and the song as much as I did and even got the courage to sing with x random people in a cinema room....

And it was so great cause the movies make you feel like so much time has passed from the first season which actually is the case and had been a while since I rewatched the originals, so I felt so in place with the movies, and best of all, having so many of the original english dub VA's coming back was soooo good!
