THEY'RE AMAZING. Sakura is the most important woman inside Konoha and Sasuke is the most important man outside Konoha but they really love each other so dearly, they have been there for each other since they were genin and Sakura always wanted to help Sasuke get free form the darkness that haunted him. Kishimoto was right in his databook "The one that filled his lonely existence was Sakura. But he cannot let her in". The angst, the love. He doesn't want to leave her but if he doesn't save Konoha and alerts them of threats from outside, his precious family would be in danger, the family he got with Sakura. Not your average vanilla boring ship but a real shounen ship is what sasusaku looks like, from comrades to enemies to lovers. Their journey is beautiful and so misunderstood, but they will always be iconic and popular.

They make sure that every single shinobi is on top condition to fight and she trains field medical-nin to support teams, she directs Konoha Hospital, leads its medics, has an office in the Hokage Residence where she takes care of special cases, opened her a mental health clinic and she's the only jonin kunoichi of her generation besides Temari; on top of being the strongest kunoichi and the only one RIGHT NOW that can protect the full population of Konoha with Katsuyu + she can regenerate and has stored large chakra reserves. This ain't og Naruto buddy.

I love how...we don't get much of Sasuke's face until they were facing each other in that moment. Looking happy as he molded the ring. He sounded a bit emotional when he said "wear that" while turning around. He's expressing himself plenty in this moment. Non-tan out did this moment with his voice acting. Sasuke sounded insecure with the pauses and softness. Everything about this scene screams romantic and Sasuke being open with Sakura.

I KNOW BUT I AM SO ANGRY THEY BUTCHERED AND SABOTAGED THE NOVEL SO BAD ONCE AGAIN 😭 They changed that scene where Jiji was about to hold Sakura’s hair and Sasuke jumped in and snagged his hand and said “THIS DOCTOR IS MY WIFE,” and that’s how he learned they were married, not this eavesdropping BS. Also the scene how Sakura rescued Sasuke and he was even convincing himself she can’t be there and was just imagining it was her, Sakura learned sensory techniques and scanned the whole place for the secret places. Plus it was Sakura who realized the cards are tailed beasts! The whole novel runs on Sasuke’s thoughts during conversations and we get to learn that despite being a silent guy, his mind is LOUD and honest with himself; but we barely heard anything about his thoughts in the episodes! Not to mention the drawing! It looks too far from Kishimoto’s illustrations! 😤 They better do all the next scenes better like how Sasuke was so concerned with Sakura’s safety, how he was thinking that he can’t lose her, how he left the battlefield for her, and how he was losing his mind and angry when he thought he’s gonna lose her, and Sakura’s sealing techniques or this adaptation is damned! P.S. Sorry for the long rant. I am terribly angry and disappointed at Studio Perriot since Part 1 and I’ve had enough of this BS they’re giving Sasuke and Sakura. I’ve read the novel and it was 1000x amazing and 1000x heartwarming than what we are given in this anime adaptation.

It's really a great way to show how even though Sasuke bears so many scars mentally, emotionally, and physically and has great difficulty in expressing himself- he, in the only way he knows how is telling Sakura that he truly truly loves her and that the gift of a ring is the daily, visual reminder of that love that he knows that she needs. I like that he used the form of a question to state what he already had figured out, in order to give her an opening to share her true feelings. It certainly demonstrated that he recognizes that it bothers his wife that he is gone a lot, but he wants to defer to her emotions and not force the issue. Thankfully Sakura doesn't stay quiet and takes advantage of the opportunity to have a heart-to-heart moment, and it pays off for both of them. Sasuke and Sakura have built their relationship and their marriage on mutual respect and a deep love that could be argued was there from the very early days. So for the two of them, a ring carries even more weight - publicly as being a symbol of the bond that they share and privately as a constant reminder to Sakura that her husband truly does value her and is always with her, even when he is away. Its a great commentary on how seemingly trivial so many people's relationships and marriages seem in our current culture today with just a bunch of forgettable dates and the expectation of a 2 carat diamond when you've only known each other maybe a year. Might be one of my favorite scenes ever.
