I like your tutorial, because its short an strait to the point. I have 207 hours in the game and never realised that you should avoid raising your own ships but using the ships from your vassals. Seeing that you already raised their army you might as well use their ships. Another great tip was that an embarked army has a moral penalty after just embarking, didnt knew this. So embarking them in nearby friendly county makes sense.

I’ve watched one of your vids, played a few games, and started from there. Have also watched a good amount of CK 2 content. Managed to get a 4.5k kingdom of novgorod by like 800 without even using the ships. have come back repeatedly since whenever i run into a wall with something i want to do but don’t know how. extremely helpful stuff even all these years on

I disembarked in the canarias during the tutorial scenario and nothing happened. My army just sat there. I couldn't attack. Nobody attacked me. I couldn't siege. Nothing happened.

Ok so I’m doing the tutorial with King Alfonso VI. The tutorial wants me to take the Canarias Islands. I called my Vassal’s Fleet in Oviedo. 7 Galleys. I can’t seem to load it though. Does it mean that the 7 Galleys are already filled with 700 men from my Vassal? Please help I really love this fucking game lol. I played CK3 first. CK3 is way easier than CK2.

Are the ships you get from mercenaries permanently yours?

No, they're only yours until you dismiss them. They cost a certain amount of gold per month, so you'll want to dismiss them at some point.

Where can I find shipbuilding? Because it's required for city shipyard.

It's under the "Technology" tab. Click the gears icon near the top-left. Note that once you research the necessary level of shipbuilding in your capital, it will take some time for the technology to spread to the rest of your realm.

At 0:24 - 0:34, the video explains that ships are mainly produced in shipyard buildings. You can construct or upgrade shipyards by selecting one of your holdings that is adjacent to water and clicking the build button next to the shipyard. (If there is no build button, hover over the icon to the left of the building's cost to see why.)
