👍Another good video. Thx Sir Nick & crew! Back in 78 or maybe 1980, (I was around 12 or so) my brother had a super fast ‘68 Dodge Charger R/T 440. (Dual points) anyway, he ran it HARD everyday & never failed him. I loved that MOPAR! He eventually pulled the 440 & tranny (can I say that 😂) & put in a 71 CUDA or Challenger (much better overall condition than the Charger at the time) then he and his buddies took the ol RED 68 Charger to a field & bullet holed the hell outta it! I couldn’t believe they shot it all up but they did. LOVED THAT 68 R/T Charger! We once made a trip from Louisville KY to Huntsville AL. in 3.5 hours. Hammer down!

OWNER of the Charger. There is nothing more beautiful than a perfectly prepped and painted black car. I am a 40 plus year car builder/autobody paint man. To do black on a vehicle there is extra steps that have to be done to insure that the body and paint is as close to perfect as possible. May I advise you on this color. The upkeep on it is going to be a lot of work. Just as soon as it is washed and dried it will be getting dirty again. I advise to never put a car cover on it. The cover will absorb even the smallest dust/dirt particles and scratch the paint as the cover is being put on and taken off. Let the car get dirty and wash it as often as u can. Do not use those fancy car show brushes on it to get the dust off. They do put small scratches in the paint. Again, black is a beautiful color. I advise to take another look at another color(s). A color that is easier to maintain. Lighter colors are like that. One color that I think will look amazing on the car is a green that is as close to the original color as possible. The green that is used on the newer hellcat's, challengers and even the trucks would look amazing on it. Dark colors are pretty but are a lot of work to keep looking beautiful.

Nick , you work miracles with these old Muscle Cars, it brings back so many memories seeing these cars come and go. Getting a new lease on life and saving the history. I remember growing up in the 60s and 70s when the V8s ruled and all Cars had a rumble ...could go fast ,even the station wagons. Riding with Dad in his Charger and doing some burnouts and some racing. That ol Dodge Charger pasted everything, but a gas station..lolololol. Keep On Rocking Nick !!!!!!!!

I hope the shop that has agreed to take on this job has the expertise and facility to do the job correctly. There’s an enormous amount of structural work that must be done to the millimeter.

@@Airwolf1971 You guys give the car manufactures a lot of credit... more like half a foot lol These old cars are all stamped steel and I would bet not one piece is exactly like the other. This is why the old cars had so much adjustment in the front end, so they can correct manufacturing defects.

@@SuperBigdanno Yeah it's work you do with a tape measure not a caliper. But the factory sheet metal tolerances and fit is a mile better than the Taiwan AMD junk that's going to be put on it during this restoration.

Nick, it sure looks like it's going to be a challenge to restore it, but soon I'm sure it will look as good as Eugene's Charger 500. 🚘
