👍Another good video. Thx Sir Nick & crew! Back in 78 or maybe 1980, (I was around 12 or so) my brother had a super fast ‘68 Dodge Charger R/T 440. (Dual points) anyway, he ran it HARD everyday & never failed him. I loved that MOPAR! He eventually pulled the 440 & tranny (can I say that 😂) & put in a 71 CUDA or Challenger (much better overall condition than the Charger at the time) then he and his buddies took the ol RED 68 Charger to a field & bullet holed the hell outta it! I couldn’t believe they shot it all up but they did. LOVED THAT 68 R/T Charger! We once made a trip from Louisville KY to Huntsville AL. in 3.5 hours. Hammer down!

OWNER of the Charger. There is nothing more beautiful than a perfectly prepped and painted black car. I am a 40 plus year car builder/autobody paint man. To do black on a vehicle there is extra steps that have to be done to insure that the body and paint is as close to perfect as possible. May I advise you on this color. The upkeep on it is going to be a lot of work. Just as soon as it is washed and dried it will be getting dirty again. I advise to never put a car cover on it. The cover will absorb even the smallest dust/dirt particles and scratch the paint as the cover is being put on and taken off. Let the car get dirty and wash it as often as u can. Do not use those fancy car show brushes on it to get the dust off. They do put small scratches in the paint. Again, black is a beautiful color. I advise to take another look at another color(s). A color that is easier to maintain. Lighter colors are like that. One color that I think will look amazing on the car is a green that is as close to the original color as possible. The green that is used on the newer hellcat's, challengers and even the trucks would look amazing on it. Dark colors are pretty but are a lot of work to keep looking beautiful.

Question for Nick. Why did you choose sandblast vs the dip tank stripping you used on the Charger 500? Thanks

Many reasons contributed to this choice. Price, preference of the body man, and the fact that a big portion of the car will be replaced, they will only need to strip certain parts.
