Right at the start, Tony telling Nebula she’s won is a huge moment for her character. That’s the first time she’s won anything, she always loses to Gamora and gets ‘fixed’
@jeanpaulmedellin3 жыл бұрын
I don’t think Karen Gillian got enough praise for how she evolved the character. You can see Nebula really evolve, even in certain moments how much sadness is reflected in her face, while past Nebula is pure rage, anger, and even fear.
@Uatu-the-Watcher3 жыл бұрын
While simultaneously teaching her that losing is okay too. I found that scene to be one of Gillan’s greatest scenes. Up there with A Good Man Goes To War as Pond. Through only using micro emotions she expresses admiration and devotion to Stark for showing her what a good mentor looks like, and reinforces the hero’s journey lesson from which she drew inspiration from Gamora. I think their time on the Benetar sold Nebula to the heroes side. Proven later by killing her variant self.
@jeanpaulmedellin3 жыл бұрын
@@Uatu-the-Watcher Her face when she kills herself is truly heartbreaking, and they way she handled Nebula's journey was a delight to watch. And hell yeah, her time as Amy Pond was magnificent.
@kenny2403 жыл бұрын
I think it’s also the first time anyone has ever shown her respect. Not just being nice to her because of who she is (daughter of Thanos), but showed her respect for being herself. She was so used to being either feared, or being completely disrespected by Thanos. But this was a stranger that knows who she is, showing her respect, right after she finds and loses the sister she always wished Gamora was when they were younger. So, she’s having a hard time as it was, and he was kind and respectful. Which I think showed her that she can and will be treated well by the right people.

6:53 Like CinemaWins pointed out, this could’ve been such a tricky scene but Paul Rudd pulls it off. Scott is so happy to see Cassie survived the snap and she’s still alive, but also shocked and heartbroken he’s missed another 5 years of his life. He didn’t get to see her grow up. And you see all those mixed emotions in his face.
@MST3Killa3 жыл бұрын
I really would have liked to see a bit more of Scott's story coming back and finding the world in ruins. Like, just that perspective is really interesting to me. Wish it was more fleshed out where Cassie could be explaining things or showing him footage or something of it all going to hell. Maybe putting two and two together with her about the whole time travel aspect and then he realizes there's a slim shot and that's why he is so frantic when we see him arrive at HQ.

True! And speaking of the start of the movie, Tony says that they are 1000 lightyears from anywhere and they're running out of oxygen. So how did Captain Marvel get the ship back to Earth in time? Even if she flew at the speed of light it would have taken her 1000 years to get the ship back to Earth. Or even if we're really generous and say that she can fly 1000 times the speed of light it would STILL take her a year to get it back to Earth (at least). Still a fantastic movie though. Saw it opening night with the perfect audience who were fired up and huge Marvel fans. Greatest movie experience of my life.

My wishlist with Endgame after seeing it was 1) I wanted a bit more of Ant-Man since he's THE catalyst for the comeback and wasn't in Infinity War at all. His intro is really cool, but I love his perspective of being gone and just walking back into this miserable situation. Wish that was played up a bit more. 2) Endgame being broken up into 2 movies possibly to give more time to flesh out some of the plan/action a bit more. I thought more characters could use the spotlight as a final showcase for them. most get little moments in the background, which is nice, don't get me wrong, but I would have loved to see like, the Ravagers come in with their ships like in the first Guardians, for example...or how about Nick Fury and some SHIELD agents? Also... you know what could have been really useful in battles like Infinity War or Endgame? Jericho missiles (Iron Man 1) I mean... seems pretty useful to me. :)
