In my travels, I find a few stones with a portrait. But never as many as I've seen here.They are beautiful & freezing history. Top job Tony. 👏👏👏👏

7:05 It looks like the boy is wearing his first holy communion suit, judging by the ribbon upon his arm. When I made my first holy communion back in 1976, I wore a similar thing on my dress shirt, like a rosette.

The photo on the Mulgravy stone is a young boys first communion photo. The white ribbon tied on his sleeve was a common practice at First Holy Communion ceremonies many years ago. We have one that my dad wore around 1922.

Lots of stories in that one I’m sure 👍 I often find an interesting story on findagrave and I end up down the rabbit hole and after researching stuff I almost feel like I knew the person personally.

Wow! What a beautiful day there and the video is so clear and nice. Beautiful cemetery and always good to see the folks pictures. So sad about the family that was murdered; very selfish man to do that to his family. Thanks for taking us, Tony! Much appreciated as always. I try to catch what I can, but with summer here, it’s mowing, gardening and tending to the berry bushes etc. Hope you and the family are all well. God bless……🌝

Beautiful cemetery, but huge! The pictures on the headstones 🪦 are in great condition for the most part. They really stand out. The story about the murdered ex-wife and daughter was tragic! May they both rest in peace 🙏 I hope someone can find out something about the son. Great walking tour, thank you very much Tony. Have a great weekend. 😊

You have semi-tame crows in the Bay area. Our East Coast crows are more wary.

I like your red t-shirt Tony. The weather there has been so nice lately when your out. I love these close ups on the stones and the pictures. I would have missed the pictures on the back of stone. From now on I'll look up, down, all around. Good lesson. The Nevarez story is so horrible. Disgusting man lost his mind then took the lives of entire family. Shame that we hear of these things everyday. Great video Tony.

Those stones and pics were incredible. The pics were so vibrant all these years later. I was surprised that the mother and daughter were buried under her married name. Usually, in cases like this, the family will bury under their maiden name as they did with Laci Peterson. Sorry, as a cop for over 20 years you pick things up.

I just found your channel tonight, and I enjoyed it very much. I find cemeteries fascinating, especially the mausoleums when you can peek inside. 💀 Perhaps I'm a little morbid. 😁 I really like columbariums and gravestones with photos of the deceased. You just don't see faces like that anymore. Btw, I subscribed. Can't wait to binge through your videos. Have a good day.

Navarez: Mother and daughter killed by abusive husband. Also a 10 yr old son critically injured. All were found off I-80 Fairfield with a single bullet to their heads. Husband found outside of car, killed himself.

It’s amazing how well those photos have held up. There used to be several markers with photos in the cemetery where my Grandparents are buried. Sadly, most have now been shot by BB guns or completely removed. 😢

Despicable!
@ToddEWalnuts5 ай бұрын
They were not vandalized or shot with BBs. It’s not uncommon for porcelain photos on graves to crack and get destroyed due to changing weather. It’s called “crazing”. Crazing occurs when an emulsion is exposed to constantly shifting degrees of humidity. As temperature levels rise and fall, the photo emulsion will expand and contract accordingly - much like the glazing on pottery and ceramics. Hot/Cold/Humidity/Time are all enemies to porcelain photos.
@lisaknell18095 ай бұрын
@@ToddEWalnuts have you been to this cemetery? I live in the mountains, I know all about guns and the marks that bullets leave. These are not cracks. LOL I do know what you mean by crazing though. I’ve seen those too.
