What he says is true. The card has no button to sign tx, no screen to review the tx that the application request to sign. It can't meet the definition of cold storage wallet per the law of physic. There are 2 ways Arculus can work: 1. The private key is stored on the phone encrypted by the card. This method is called 2 Factor Authentication, the private key would be decrypted on the phone anyway to sign txs which come with the same risks than a wallet with a strong password (so why bother with a card??) 2. The private key is stored on the card, emitted over the air (NFC) for the app to sign tx, encrypted by 6 digits which any kid can brute force in a split of a millisecond. If that's the design, one just needs to steal your card or getting close to you with an NFC receiver and your funds are gone. Arculus documentation is very poor, not transparent, misusing important technical terms and gives only the illusion of security. The illusion of security is the most dangerous situation, it's safer to have a weak security and know it.

The big issue with a card based hardware wallet is that it has no screen of its own that the card displays what its signing outside of the app. So when the transaction displays on your phone screen, what it MIGHT send to your card to sign may be completely different, and you will never know. Ledger app may send the transaction to the ledger, but the ledger itself will display what its about to sign, so even if the app was compromised and sent a differebt transaction to the ledger to sign, the ledger would reveal the transaction again to confirm what you are really signing. Tangem is a similar hardware wallet to the one in this video, but they attempt to alleviate the concerns by making the app open source and therefore you can even bring your own app to interact with the card to eliminate trust in the companies app. But obviously, with how ledger recently updated its firmware and revealed it introduced a function to upload your key to a backup service, ledger is kinda not great itself where it shows it can push firmware updates that completely invalidate the security and reveal keys, so thats not ideal either. All in all, hardware wallets tend to have some level of trust in some respect to use them.
