I guess it's because I also work on the phones (though it's for surveys) but damn, that was harsh. It's always fun from our side to get someone who'll help us pass the time, be it entertainment, anger, pranking, or otherwise. But don't get deep on us like that, especially after you dropped her guard. I love your videos, most of the time you're pretty kind-hearted and you're rarely mean spirited, but that ending was just painful. Like you said, we're mostly just people who didn't get the job we wanted, we're trying to get by in any way we can and we're a little down on our luck. Please yell at us. Tell us to stop calling you, slam the phone, or troll the conversation. All I'm asking is that you please don't go down that road and make us feel pathetic. we already feel like we're imposing on your space, and for 9/10 of us, that makes us extremely uncomfortable.

National Supers Agent "hahaha... Hate my job..." Really though it's not the worst. I'm mostly just uncomfortable with the fact that I'm intruding on a couple hundred lives a day to push someone's political agenda with some asinine 60 question survey that basically comes down to "This candidate loves babies and kittens. Is your reaction to that very favorable, somewhat favorable, or neutral? Ok, and his opponent kicks puppies and hates poor people. Is your reaction to that somewhat unfavorable or very unfavorable?"

@@davidroache8655 I mean it’s been 9 years since this comment and I’ve been lucky to have a genuinely great job that doesn’t involve dealing with strangers for 7 years now. But no, if you treat people on the phone like this, it’ll probably just hurt their self esteem. Nobody can really do anything about it. I suppose it’s just up to you if you feel like making their day worse makes your day that much better. If it does, power to you, I guess.👍

Great beginning, but ending doesn't deliver. Who makes a prank call and hangs up first? The proper way is to make the Telemarketer to hang up.

Ya I agree. She was being friendly with him for the sake of being friendly not to make a sale. He took it overboard on that one. But I have pranked my own telemarketers before so I can't be too harsh. But the ones I talked to were always bitches. I even asked to speak to the manager one time because this number would call five times a day and when I told him I don't want them calling anymore the guy cussed me out! So I do understand some of his aggressiveness. But for her a little overboard.

My brother was a telemarketer for awhile, he said the company didn't really care how you dressed, as long as you sounded professional. It was a huge refuge for goths, punkers, drag queens, and metalheads. The breakroom must have been a riot!

For instance, “John” has had an interlude with her boyfriend - her boss is a former porn star - the business is about to go bankrupt, etc, etc. Then again, it’s really hard to come up with these things off the top of your head. Lately we have been getting persistent calls for solar installation programs. I have been studying psychoanalysis for the last 20 years, and started interrogating the guy on the roots of his motivations to continue with his job. I persistently asked him questions about his mother, and told him he wasn't answering them because he was repressing an earlier trauma and this is what probably led to his poor career struggles, and his the unconscious self-deprecation arising from his own guilt. For this reason, he is able to tolerate abuse from his cold calls, and that is only serving to antagonize a deeper psychosis and diminishing his own feelings of self worth. He hung up.
