@BustyCatbot Жыл бұрын
A proper PvE mode separate from operations would open CS2 to so many more players that don't engage in PvP games, and making it procedurally generated would make it incredibly replayable, so I agree, this should be added to CS2.

It really is mind blowing seeing a person put SO much effort into something without wanting something in return. as of right now, community maps and servers aren't compatible with CS:S2, alongside some other under-the-hood features. no doubt hammer 2 will come out soon and will be great for mapmakers, but that doesn't mean this map's features will be able to be replicated. in the last few years, valve has turned their nose up at the modding community. hopefully this doesn't spell the end for community servers and custom content like classic offensive or these creative maps.

4:40 interesting. 32767 is the exact maximum number that can be displayed by a 15 bit binary number (2^15 - 1) It would make sense that if you went up by 1 to 32768, the computer would *think* that the number is 0 (aka dead), as in binary, if you add 1 to 32767, you need 16 bits to display that. 32767 is 15 1’s, 32768 is one 1, followed by 15 zeros. As far as I know, I’m most computers, when this happens, the 16th bit (called a carry bit) is chopped off, as there is nowhere to hold it. This essentially means it only reads those 15 0s, equivalent to 0 health. When you further add a 1 to 32768, to make 32769 those first 15 digits are now 14 zeros with a 1 at the end, which is 1 in decimal. I think basically you have an integer overflow, and once you overflow, the computer thinks your back at 0, but how does the computer know to go back to 32767 after you take damage? Why is health represented by a 15 bit number, but stored as something bigger? That’s not the size of an integer or a short. Questions questions..
