@@byronhenry6518It's funny. I'm from calliefornie and when I hear this song, I think about the good things and times in the south that the confederates felt like they wanted to protect far more than the actual fighting to protect it! Strikes me more as a peacetime "remember what you're fighting for" song than a "show it to those unioners" song.

I am from Alabama and I love listening to Civil War era songs, and this one was an absolute treat. The technology used to do this is absolutely astounding as well, until I looked up the AI and read about it I was sure that this was sung by a real person. If you need any other song recommendations from the era I may suggest Rose of Alabamy, Cumberland Gap, Richmond is a Hard Road to Travel, and Bonnie Blue Flag. The last one may be the best option for your AI. In any case I eagerly look forward to more of your work.

Story Time, The Ironclad Kōtetsu: The first ironclad of the Japanese Navy, it was originally the CSS Stonewall which never see service in the Confederate navy as it was constructed in France where a law was passed preventing the selling of ships to the Confederacy, so it was basically bounced around Europe until given to the Americans and sold to the Tokugawa Shogunate however the ship would not arrive until late into the Boshin War meaning it was ultimately delivered to the Imperial Japanese navy.

I Wish I Was in Dixie 1. Oh, I wish I was in the land of cotton, Old times there are not forgotten. Look away, look away, look away Dixie Land! In Dixie's Land, where I was born in, early on one frosty mornin'. Look away, look away, look away Dixie Land! I wish I was in Dixie, Hooray! Hooray! In Dixie's Land I'll take my stand, to live and die in Dixie. Away, away, away down south in Dixie! Away, away, away down south in Dixie! 2. Old Missus marry “Will the weaver,” Willium was a gay deceiver; Look away! Look away! Look away! Dixie Land. And when he put his arm around ‘er, He smiled as fierce as a forty-pounder, Look away! Look away! Look away! Dixie Land. I wish I was in Dixie, Hooray! Hooray! In Dixie’s Land I’ll take my stand to live and die in Dixie. Away, away, away down south in Dixie. Away, away, away down south in Dixie. 3. His face was sharp as a butcher’s cleaver But that did not seem to grieve ‘er Look away! Look away! Look away! Dixie Land. Ole Missus acted the foolish part She died for a man that broke her heart Look away! Look away! Look away! Dixie Land. I wish I was in Dixie, Hooray! Hooray! In Dixie’s Land I’ll take my stand to live and die in Dixie. Away, away, away down south in Dixie. Away, away, away down south in Dixie. 4. Now here’s to the health to the next ole Missus An’ all the gals that want to kiss us; Look away! Look away! Look away! Dixie Land And if you want to drive away sorrow Come and hear our song tomorrow Look away! Look away! Look away! Dixie Land. I wish I was in Dixie, Hooray! Hooray! In Dixie’s Land I’ll take my stand to live and die in Dixie. Away, away, away down south in Dixie. Away, away, away down south in Dixie. 5. Dar’s buckwheat cakes an Injun batter, Makes your fat a little fatter; Look away! Look away! Look away! Dixie Land. Then hoe it down and scratch your gravel, To Dixie’s Land I’m bound to travel. Look away! Look away! Look away! Dixie Land. I wish I was in Dixie, Hooray! Hooray! In Dixie’s Land I’ll take my stand to live and die in Dixie. Away, away, away down south in Dixie. Away, away, away down south in Dixie.

私は日英翻訳者です。歌詞の意味や表し方が結構、自然な日本語の表現になるようにローカライズされていますね。日本語歌詞を直訳して英語に戻そうとすると原曲の歌詞と違います。例えば、「I wish I was in Dixie」>「あの地に帰れるなら」>「If only I could return to that land」など。面白いです。

The confederacy was a failed nation that was built on the backs of slaves, and could not even give those slaves the honor of having died for anything worthwhile. My ancestors fought the Confederate scum and I am proud of the sacrifices they made to defeat the fascist pigs that pathetically died for the aristocratic slavemaster class, and then had the gaul to claim that their cause was a noble one. To this day, the south lags behind the north in every metric imaginable.

Isn’t that true of any traditional fighting force? The nations of the world are in shambles…perhaps a southern victory and takeover could have delayed the inevitable, but, it would likely ultimately be more or less the same. Be the great man that the history books talk about. If not you, then who?

I'm curious is the main issue the English translation to Japanese translation? because I can see your lyrics are quite rough lol there are many versions of bonnie blue flag but the one i see the most is by "the 2nd south carolina string band" but im excited to see your next video! We are a band of brothers and native to the soil Fighting for our Liberty, With treasure, blood and toil And when our rights were threatened, the cry rose near and far Hurrah for the Bonnie Blue Flag that bears a single star! Hurrah! Hurrah! For Southern rights, hurrah! Hurrah for the Bonnie Blue Flag that bears a single star. (Music) As long as the Union was faithful to her trust Like friends and like brethren, kind we were, and just But now, when Northern treachery attempts our rights to mar We'll hoist on high the Bonnie Blue Flag that bears a single star. Hurrah! Hurrah! For Southern rights, hurrah! Hurrah for the Bonnie Blue Flag that bears a single star. (Music) First gallant South Carolina nobly made the stand Then came Alabama and took her by the hand Next, quickly Mississippi, Georgia, Florida All raised on high the Bonnie Blue Flag that bears a single star. Hurrah! Hurrah! For Southern rights, hurrah! Hurrah for the Bonnie Blue Flag that bears a single star. (Music) Ye men of valor gather around the banner of the right Texas and fair Louisiana 've join us in the fight Davis, our loved President, and Stephens statesmen are Now rally behind the Bonnie Blue Flag that bears a single star. Hurrah! Hurrah! For Southern rights, hurrah! Hurrah for the Bonnie Blue Flag that bears a single star. (Music) And here's to brave Virginia, the Old Dominion State. With the young Confederacy at length has linked her fate. Impelled by her example, now other States prepare To hoist on high the Bonnie Blue flag that bears a single star. Hurrah! Hurrah! For Southern rights, hurrah! Hurrah for the Bonnie Blue Flag that bears a single star. (Music) Then cheer, boys, cheer, and raise a joyous shout For Arkansas and North Carolina now have both gone out; And let another rousing cheer for Tennessee be given The single star of the Bonnie Blue Flag has grown to be eleven! Hurrah! Hurrah! For Southern rights, hurrah! Hurrah for the Bonnie Blue Flag that bears a single star. (Music) Then here's to our Confederacy, strong we are and brave, Like patriots of old we'll fight, our heritage to save. And rather than submit to shame, to die we would prefer So cheer, cheer for the Bonnie Blue flag that bears a single star. Hurrah! Hurrah! For Southern rights, hurrah! Hurrah for the Bonnie Blue Flag that bears a single star. Hurrah! Hurrah! For Southern rights, hurrah! Hurrah for the Bonnie Blue Flag that bears a single star.

Reminds me of this warship the Confederate Navy ordered that was built in France. By the time it got there, the war was over, and the Feds took possession. The US government then sold it to the Tokugawa shogunate. By the time it got there, the shoguns were out and the Meiji restoration was in full swing. It then was part of the Imperial Japanese Navy for the rest of its life. What were the odds it was bought by not one, but two defunct governments that fell before it reached them?
