huh, finally an interpretation of esfj that actually makes sense. I have not actually seen an esfj thats weirdly adamant about constantly helping people by exhausting themselves, as shown by other mbti communities. Don't get me wrong they're very helpful but they'll cut you up if they get the hint if you're only using them and also over-relying on them. Weird rant but I really hate how untrue and lazy the stereotypes are.

Single mothers who have no choice but to care for children but can still remain terrible partners. Masculine nature in females can be hard to deal with for many of the temperaments. As an INTP I relate to the “no identity → hedonism” theory. I regard my identity as fluid and think the only times I was productive with no dopamine reward was when I was method acting a film character. My challenge is giving up low-level dopamine for the possibility of future higher-level dopamine. For example, I can watch TV shows and chill in my free time or use that time to advance my career. I have trouble choosing the latter, partly because I know the higher reward is not a guarantee. Next to dopamine, I think I’m more motivated by self-actualization, taking my talents to the max and seeing how far they will go. Helping others is rewarding too, possibly could be offered a third place in my motivation hierarchy, especially when I start thinking about my inevitable death. I’ve always found life coach / therapist / psychic reader positions rewarding.

This makes sense so bad!! I'm eager to help others if I feel capable enough. Like yesterday I I helped one of my friend reduce her body pains by a few exercises I learnt when I played sports in college. And I was so motivated to help her! Literally taught her what to do as well, to do her warm ups before doing something physically demanding and then taught her a few exercises to do if she's alone without assistance!!! OMG helping others is my goal!!!!

An INTP can learn to not covert contract by making the conscious decision to give the gift of knowledge for its own sake and not hold to any pretense of a reward. This decision is an important act to reach the next level. Hold yourself to a higher ideal that helps build your legacy, your community and society as a whole rather than look for the immediate gratification. Seeking reward is not the goal. The INTP has the potential to become the wise sage professor that others look up to for knowledge and understanding. Accept that this is a thankless task and seek pleasure in what you are building for future generations, not for yourself.

Seriously, tell me how an INTP is supposed to feel any satisfaction in life if they don't have access to Ni and feel satisfaction from achieving their goals? If they have to rely on either pleasant experiences or the experience of being desired by others. According to you, an INTP is supposed to feel satisfaction from the mental vision of being a sage that no one cares about, or creating things that no one cares about? That's just a curse and allowing yourself to be exploited, only wrapped in a metaphysical idea.
@00Klingon

@@ak-cl6im Fi demon constantly tempts us to nihilistic belief that nobody really cares and nothing really matters. This is reality for many INTP. The key is to stop worrying about all that and seek true meaning and deep self acceptance and self improvement first. If you build it, others will follow. Remember that INTP are outcome focused and interested in legacy. We can access Ni but only after much thought, weighing the pros and cons. Trust me, when we finally do realize what we want, we can become incredibly stubborn in pursuit of a goal, as long as we have a clear vision to the outcome we seek. We trade the present working on what could be in a potential future payoff. If we are nihilistic, it may be self serving or in servitude to others. If we find true meaning in life, we will serve a greater purpose and be remembered for generations.

To add on for anyone who ever sees this, a year late, INTPs are never satisfied with knowing whether something is true or accepting it as true. To accept something requires us to be satisfied with the "why". What makes it clear that (a) god exists? Not much, or a lot depending on how vague you wanna be. Why would any vague reason for the existence of a god be conclusive? Why should I take anything of that nature as evidence when it's open-ended? Why should I care even if your 'evidence' does sound plausible? Definitive, concrete proof, that also makes logical sense to us on top of being factual. That is the cornerstone of each of the INTP's long-held beliefs. If it's to be believed long-term, it must be all of the above. Short-term? Not necessarily. But at some point we'll take it apart with logic and when it fails, it flops. In short, we're skeptics even when confronted with facts. And religion typically fails to meet our standards of objectivity and logical subjectivity. -A late INTP

Be blunt and don’t worry about hurting their feelings. As long as use a calm tone you can say pretty much anything to them no matter how harsh. Even if you do temporarily upset an INTP they will still be loyal to you and wont do anything to get back at you. If you are super direct with what you want from them they will most likely do it, but don’t give them an option, just straight up tell them that they have to. When they make improvements in their behavior be sure to give them lots of praise for it, even if something so small that they don’t really deserve praise for.

I think for you help others and relief their pain or suffering, it reminds the INTP that their is worthless or stupid, and that their a valid person in this society, and many INTPs have so much patience and are so not bothered with people lack of anything, like they not care if you can't walk or your living under a bridge, or if you just got divorced, or came out prison, a person is a person, and through their experience in life, most of them can run a quick analysis of a human, and pick up if this person is good or safe, can help anyone that others can't stand or don't have the patience for, and knowing this , brings an INTP so much joy, once you come out of all the darkness, you really want to tell everyone that it's going through ok, it's almost like having a near death experience, after that, everything changes, at that point in their life, their Fe inferior can't help itself, it almost automatically wants to help and relief suffering or increase understanding, it's almost like an INFJ purpose, but not really
