I am an INTP and now I know why I most of times see negative possibilities of which I start to think about and why I always worry about how others think about me. I wasted a lot of hours in my childhood to adapt to the way how others think. Now I hate it. When I grew older I realized that my feelings most of times make me dissapointed and freeze with depression and anxiety. Thank you man , this knowledge will be very usefull!!💓

@@one5872 What do you do to get rid of thinking negative possibilities ,imaginations?
@one58725 жыл бұрын
@@pasik8884 Well it takes a lot of perspective. I still don't have it figured out yet. But the way I deal with this is => does thinking about it makes me a better person/more effective. The answer is no so what does => not carring about feelings but facts\truths. With this knowledge I gained from C.S. I learned that most people are feelers they will tell you to act according to your feeling but when you just see them as inconsistent it just doesn't do the trick. So my best advice would be stop carring about what other people thinks and care more about what makes you tick

My wife has Si. It was the first cognitive function that I recognized in another person. I have become increasingly aware over the last year that it is a pessimistic function. If I am understanding correctly, which I believe I am, is used in a pessimistic way. Just like what you had said (Si through their own eyes and Se through others), when referring to the past, it is always her personal journey through time, as if alone.

9:16 "the more immature it (the shadow) is, the more pessimistic it is". Why does pessimism have to be a sign of immaturity? Isn't pessimism the thing that enables us to avoid risks and behave responsibly like the parent function?
@SantanaBanana47 Жыл бұрын
Because the shadow is required for maturity. You want to use those functions more in order to be a wise and mature person.

I think the expression you were looking for is that, the ego is collectively a primary personality. hence, the shadow is secondary and therefore its constituents will naturally be more pessimistic than that of the ego even when they are primary.

Great video as always. Not sure this is the best place, or if you've touched on these, but I have some topic requests (or if you have any good resources/insights): What role precisely do cognitive functions play in ideal career choice? What role do cognitive functions play in drug (ab)use, both in what drugs would various types/functions seek, and how do drugs affect the functions during use?
@CSJoseph6 жыл бұрын
I have a separate series on careers. And I will be releasing content about drug use. Mostly, drugs and alcohol place people in their shadows, but sometimes it helps them with their subconscious.

Hello again, really enjoyed this one! :-) Would you consider doing 2 lectures: 1 comparing ENTJ's and ESTJ's, and the other comparing ENTJ's and ENFJ's? No rush of course, I just have always been unsure of the total differentiation of these types.

Have you made any videos where you compare any specific function (for example, Fi) in terms of its optimistic manifestation in contrast to its pessimistic manifestation?

Yes, Seasons 1, 5, 16

I just want to ask. Do you have a lecture about how to make your pessismistic functions optimistic? Its kind of hard to turn them optimistic.

I'm INTP and i am pessimistic with all practical things, so why Se-Trickster is optimistic theoretically for me? I make all what i can to avoid practical things, because i know that end bad if i do something practical. I position myself as a loser to persuade others why I shouldn't be doing something. Or maybe that mean... i am optimistic with that i can persuade to others and they live me alone? How i can that interpretate?

What is meant by calling the child function 'divine'? Like this aspect can mean no harm? Or it's the most sacred function to its user? I noticed 'innocent' seems to be used interchangeably or approximately for 'divine', but I'm having a hard time understanding the connection.

I'm INTP and I'm pessimistic about that theory ;) (yes i analise that topic again xD ) Because if Nemesis function is optymistic, than why "Nemesis Te: I am woried about what others think" How worrying can by optymistic? Thats illogical. Even if we look that if we develop the shadow, the role for 5-th function is still worrying, yea? How that can be optymistic? 5th and 7th functions as optymistic have no sense.
@CSJoseph3 жыл бұрын
That side of the mind is pessimistic. Perhaps if you envisioned the optimism and pessimism in terms of relative contrast to each other within the same side of the mind it would help you visualize it.
@PLAYERik3 жыл бұрын
@@CSJoseph Ty for answer :D So... I guess is that optimism and pessimism are best understand mainly to the conscious functions of the stack and not so much for the unconscious? This theory fits very much to my aux Ne because I perceive the world as corridors full of doors, but the all doors seem to be closed. So in this function i see that pessimism very well. With uncounscous i am very pessimistic, like with my Ni and Se i see that very well in both this functions. With Fi is that much more complicated xD . Ty for answer one time more :)
