As an ESTJ, I don't necessarily think that I'm a bad person, but what I do think is that I am at risk of emotionally hurting people more than others because of my blunt nature, so I would constantly try to improve on myself in this regard. I don't walk around everyday thinking that I'm a bad person. That seems unhealthy. I also don't hold myself to an insanely high standard to how I dress or look...but maybe that's because I think it would get in the way of doing actual work (HAHAHA). Otherwise, most do apply especially with being in INFP "mode/state." And I've learned to know what I want through the process of elimination, but then again that would be based on external evaluation on what would be good to want. Thank you for this video. @@benaoao6753 the U.S. is mostly an ESTJ country. Japan is an INFP country. (We both know their cognitive functions appearently don't go well together yet both of them can be smart) I'm an INFP & living in the ESTJ land we know as the United States, it stressed me so much in my teen years. But working your inferior functions is good. At least in my case I feel like my ISTP father has helped me out a lot (apparently the right pair for an ESTJ) & I had worked out my superego (it takes a lot of maturity for both to get along) & hanging out with your demon function is another way for someone to mature & it activated my ESTJ subconscious which I use to get by life. It varies tho, I know my type can be in a spectrum of the ignorant SJW, to a PHD graduate with the sense of getting their values taught with the logic they've learned from the systems they fear. so can we NFs actually think? It's a very general question but yes we are forced to. A lot of ENFJs growing up they think they might need logic & order to get what they want so they actually can go pretty far with things like politics, science etc. & INFJs at least one that I know is very strategical with his thinking & is actually close to a thinking type. Idk about ENFPs never met them. It's all based on childhood, influences, & if they are healthy or not. Unhealthy INFJs are scary tho even as someone who prefers the metaphysical at least i know it's unreal INFJs at that state seem not to know what's real or not especially when they watch Nazi based movies, joke about shooting schools, or even hang out with the wrong friends. He's a feeler type but spent his 20's developing his inferior to the point that he got a degree in electrical engineering. So, in many cases, feeler types can develop thinking. I'm a better logical thinker than my dad naturally, but he has better natural situational awareness and Ni parent which is hugely advantageous over a Ni critic/Si child which makes him naturally driven and me naturally prone to failure to launch syndrome. I’m so glad I found your channel. I am an INFP. I bet you already know base on this long comment xD I love your insights Chase and your drive to help others through this. Please keep it up, man. As an INFP(who actually got butthurt from your other vids because of my Fi), we need people like you to tell us the truth(even if it hurts xD). You have a loyal subscriber here. Definitely will recommend to others ^^b Have a good day!

I think I am an Estj, but I’ve never thought of being a bad person. I always worry about my selfworth, but not in that way. As you said in the video, I worry about being stupid, or I worry about not being able to express my own opinions, sometimes because I don’t have an opinion on many things, but also because I worry of being wrong, so I keep agreeing to others and I feel bad about that 🤷🏻♀️ Also I tend to believe to everything someone says to me, even when they’re lying. Also when I was younger, it was easy to manipulate me because of my Ne: I didn’t mind to do what people wanted, and this caused some problems, and that’s another reason why I worry about my selfworth. And finally, I have a really bad relationship with my Fi, because I’m not able to express my emotions or everything about Fi. But, as I said earlier, I’ve never thought of being a bad person

The fact that history repeats itself shows that the ESTJ way of thinking isn't that strange. A lot is predictable based on historic facts.

the mbti community might get the j and p confused for introverts, but Myers Briggs explains it clearly 'in differing gifts'. She describes a general that is outside of the tent with a helper in the tent as the extrovert and the general in the tent and the helper outside of the tent as the introvert. Thus as an INTP, my general (Ti) is not seen by outsiders, only the helper (Ne) is seen unless you are important. I put on top that the Ne is how i handle the world which is a P function, but my primary focus is inside thus the Ti hero.

What about a series on what each type is like as leaders (organizations, churches, bosses, etc.)? Healthy vs unhealthy leaders? There are leaders in my life I keep trying to type, but I wonder if I'm mistyping because of the functions they have to utilize while in leadership roles..

As an INTP, going to the gym is always super hilarious. We actually have two separate rooms where in one room the S types tend to congregate, ass-slapping each other and yelling" and then we N types are in another room quietly going through our routines and discussing ideas and theory between sets. When I'm maxing or when I'm hyper I actually like to join the ES types but most of the time I prefer the chill room. I like ES types because they always pull me into fun mode.

I've always tested as an infp and I do have some similarities with that type but its never really felt right. Watching this I was like "THATS ME". The only part thats different for me is I'm not quite as much of an outwardly critical person, I tend to think it and not say it unless im annoyed or upset with the person.

@@t5396 yes & no but it doesn't come from a bad place (depending on mental state) for example if I see someone with a bad vibe I usually think "oh hmm maybe if I talk to them it will debunk my thoughts just remember the red flags I learned from my past" if that makes sense (yes the judgment is there but usually I have an open mind)

Hi so my tests with a psychologist and then later rechecked by myself stated ESTP, but your video about ESTP regarding confronting people and technically bulling them because I care to improve them so much doesn't describe me. I hate bullies and I verbally attack them if I hear one attacking someone shy and innocent in front of me. I actually attacked 3 bullies in my class on a few occasions, to the point that they stopped smiling when I showed up to the class and they weren't in too good mood around me. But I think ESTJ describes me better, especially the part about revenge. My P and J are about 50/50. I also fit your describtion of ISFJ believe it or not ( hope, revenge, caring about looks, and caring about my family, I also like making turkey dinners; and I expect loyalty for my loyalty).

I am an ESTJ woman, and all my relationships have ended in disaster, until my ISTP boyfriend came along (I force him to get tested, when we first met.) I've only just found your video, and I feel a little attacked at how correct you are, with the shadowing. I'm not sure if I feel easy to read, and vulnerable, or just accept it.

I thought I was an INTP but the thing I identified with the most was their Si creature conforts - Ne possibilities exploriation coin. After some time away from this topic, I started studying ennegram and discovered I am a 3w2, and it did not get along with INTP. I'm so glad I'm a 317 with all those faults and even more so because now I know where to go. So my "INTP" should be wrong. Studying Objective Personality and trying to discover my cognitive functions, I settle upon a Te/Ne ESTP jumper. There's still the axis of Ne-Si plus It actually accounts for my need of validation above the need of significance.

Wow. I’m an ESTJ. This video was so accurate that you made me feel like the biggest asshole alive. I can accept that, if what you say is true. Ironically, my other half of 14 years is an ISTP (go figure). We fight all the time, but seem to make it work. I’ve spent a year trying to learn about myself and others and how to strengthen relationships with everyone in my life. How would you suggest an ESTJ go about doing this, since ESTJs are being described here as impossible jerks?

give your ISTP all the freedom to make decisions. Ask them what they think, tell them how you feel, even if you are embarassed. And stay loyal

As an INTP with an ESTJ mother I find it really hard to understand ESTJ’s other than them being controlling, judgemental, shallow, close-minded and the list goes on. I like to do my own thing, following my ways and that’s hard to respect for my ESTJ mom. She loves hearing me talk about my theories or ideas I guess it’s and Ti Te thing. And the thing is she never knows what she wants and she asks me to make a decision’s spontaneous , but I can’t make decisions for the love of God.

from an INFP: personal experience with an ESTJ wife; 4 yr marriage, 7 year divorce and she tried to kill me for the million $ life insurance policy on my head. They completely destroy you, even your career. The relationship will change you life! Then you realize the ESTJ pattern in politicians, CEO's, court system, etc. Does mankind have hope with the ESTJ in charge of the world? (banks, corporations, governments).

Stever Turnsk omg dude get out of my head! Yes! After being with one you realize how many of them are truly on the more fascist side of society. Police, lawyers etc are usually ESTJ and it’s like the foxes are running the henhouse. They are not people who should remotely be at the levers of power, if not because they want it TOO MUCH. If that’s not bade enough, because of their low Fi they’re never going to seek help for when they have a psychological issue like BPD or co dependency. And that fucking sucks about your ex dude. And yes, I also have a lot of money (on paper) and I started getting a REALLY squeamish feeling that she’d have taken me to the cleaners even with a prenup. I’m an INTP and I do not have the energy for some long winded legal battle. So a big part of my relief about breaking up is in not worrying about that anymore.
