C.T. You may never see this but I appreciate what you have been through. I am 60 yrs old and have been lifting weights since 1966. I was never a powerlifter because I didn't give a rats arse about anything but bench press and TKD! At 30 in 1986 I was benching 550 raw and working towards what was eventually my 4th degree black belt in TKD. I have survived motorcycle wrecks resulting in triceps torn in half. Broken forearm in half torn both rotators cuffs in half and broke my left knee cap. As soon as possible I was back in the gym, way before my Dr released me. In 2005 I had a mild heart attack resulting in 4 stents to open my right artery. Five years later I had another and this time 5 stents were put in my left descending artery ( widow maker). I am recovering from a serious shoulder injury and just two months ago could not bench the bar. Now I'm up to 235. You are my inspiration, thank you!!

Back in 2009 I had a tumour on my pancreas. I had an 8 hour operation. Off work for 6 months, lost nearly two stone. I hated looking at the stick man I'd become from a liquid only diet. Mentally I lost it sometimes, the road to recovery was long and hard. Even carrying shopping I would have to lay down completely exhausted. Gradually the strength comes back, you think it won't but it does. When you've lost weight and definition the frustration gets you mad but also hungry to get back in the gym. One year later Weight back on and working out again. Lifting iron gives you something no other sport can. When your at your lowest physically and mentally it's a slow tough road, but with self belief and strong mind, it can be done. Respect to you CT
@G36Jeff8 жыл бұрын
Respect. I've also learned not to sweat the small stuff and appreciate what you have. We all tend to lose sight of what is important. Family friends loved ones. I feel sorry for myself a lot. And I need to quit. I'm not special. And fuck excuses. Fuck pitty. CT taught me that.

This video is awesome. Honestly, anyone who can just talk about their selves without boasting and talking about how great they are, that's amazing. he talks about the experiences he's had and the things he's been through to get where hes at. When you do that, you put yourself in a position where people can relate. That's more important than just telling people how successful you are. Anyone can talk about their success, but not many can just simply talk about their experiences and let the people know where they were and were they came from and where they are now.. hes a real dude who made it from hard work, dedication, and motivation. Nowadays everyone wants someone to motivate them and make them do something. This man did it on his own because he had a passion and shows if you are passionate about something, go for it and never to forget your roots. stay humble. RESPECT TO YOU CT Fletcher! Thanks for sharing your story!!

People that have done their time and proved themselves like CT Fletcher and Mark Bell is very inspiring. Ive been workingout since i was 13 because I was always the chubby/fat kid growing up. I didnt have highspeed internet Or training partners let alone afford to go to the gym back then. Now that im 27 im definitely more fit and relatively strong but I wish I had access to you tube much sooner because i could have learned so much more and I am learning more everyday now because of people like Mark Bell and CT Fletcher and many others. CT your story and you as a person are so inspirational. Like the previous comment I've been watching a lot of KZbin videos for inspiration as I've recently started lifting again only a couple months ago after taking off for roughly 10 years. A lot of it was getting redundant until I came across your channel the other day and now its all I have been watching. I can tell you that by you sharing your struggle it has helped inspire me a lot. I've also had health problems that have set me back and neuropathy in my legs that took me out of work for 1 1/2 years that was supposed to get progressively worse for the rest of my life. After cleaning up a few poor health habits and quitting drinking my neuropathy is pretty much non existent and I do not think it will be a hinderence to my training goals. Please keep putting out these kick ass videos. One of my favorite motto's is "Everybody wants to be a beast until its time to do what a beast do". You truly are a beast and it seems to me that you live doing what beasts do. I really didn't think I would ever get back into lifting weights again but feel so much better now that I am and I am becoming obssessed with it again and lovin it. Thank you for reminding me that after all of these years IT'S STILL MY MOTHA FUCKIN SET!!!

@darsenringling9 жыл бұрын
Juan Andres He has sponsors. People pay him money who would most likely influence his decision. So let's say he works 30 years to make a career in lifting and finally got a big spot at isatori with a big paycheck and a way to make his name a legend and all he has to do is avoid telling people he's on drugs. The only people who can be open about it and get away with it own their own companies (mark bell or marc lobiner) and don't have to worry about being fired and losing everything they worked for. And it's not even the athletes fault these days, supplement companies are bullies about this stuff. Bostin Loyd came out with his stack and became untouchable and lost all chances at being sponsored.
