I had the esteemed honor of shooting this video. I still marvel at his speed and punch drumming skill. I know a little about punch drumming and hitting the speed bag, and you really have to experience Matts speed and skill LIVE to truly appreciate his skill. He has shown me some things on the bag I have never thought possible. He is a true master of the speed bag!

Notice: He is punching the Bag in "straight time" or what we call Basic Rhythm punching, keeping accented punches directly ON the songs beats for the first 33 sec. From 34 sec on he launches into what we call syncopated combinations, which has many speed bag beats "syncopated to the beat" of the song, but still dead in sync, and every few punches one will land directly "on the beat" again. It's a bit more advanced punchdrumming, totally improvised - and he is going at "WARP SPEED". Unreal!!
