Now, we need a video game company developing a Speed bag "pad" and an appriopriate beatmania game to use it. Would buy it.

Matt, always amazing to watch you hit the bag. Hope to be able to see you one day in NJ at one of the seminars. Respect!

Thanks for sharing! Matthew made it all look very easy and while it is once you know how. Of course knowing how and doing aren't always the same. To get to the level these people are at requires time and commitment. Keeping ones arms elevated, moving in varying directions and keeping varying rhythms punching a moving bag can be a bit tiring on some of the muscles used after a while. It's been awhile since I've spent time on the speed bag and after watching everyone doing their thing, I just may have to get back at it again. Very inspiring! Thanks again!

Our YMCA does that Parkinsons Boxing workout that was mentioned---complete with speed bag workouts that benefit the brain area as was mentioned in the video. Nice to see folks working it. They also have a seperate speed bag for us duffers that try hard as heck to look like they do in this video---to no avail, but the workout is incredible. IT helps too with my hockey skills--hand/eye/timing/reaction. All Good. Try it--get a bag put up in basement or garage.

luis wilding Any time there's a learning curve your brain has to grow to compensate. More grey matter, tougher fighter. One you've learned it, your shoulders get blasted and it's possible to just ride the speed and take it easy too, meaning you can do a meaningful workout without over training. As a former amateur boxer (usa boxing), we don't waste our time doing these fancy tricks. We get our reps done, and move on to the next workout. That is not to say that this is not an important part of a boxer's workout, but getting all the routine stuff (warm ups, ab workouts, jump rope, etc.) out of the way, and getting to the shadow boxing, heavy bag, mitts and sparring is where I used to put most of my focus. What you guys do though is pretty amazing.

You are busted bro, mashed in the head, this isn't boxing, this is a performance as he stated at the beginning of the video. It's nothing to do with fighting.

Williiam Ah Kuoi Take some time to learn some tricks. Learning develops brain cells and that toughens up a fighter. Why do you think people swear by the rope despite its learning curve?
@ffryan Жыл бұрын
Why did you have to try and tear the guy down? Why couldn't you just write, "What you guys do though is pretty amazing" and leave it at that?

It does help create endurance for keeping your hands up. But yeah I agree, it's not the most effective tool for training actual boxing.

He is not doing it in any way as a purpose to train for boxing, he is not a boxer even. He is a musician.
