Thank you for your video. I changed my drive belt today, it was a real CHORE. Your video gave me the confidence to tackle it myself. Your machine must be a little older than mine, as there were small differences . I found things that should have been easy to be difficult, and things that I feared to be easier than expected. Thank you again. You saved me a lot of money and considerable aggrivation.

I'm gonna try to tackle this soon. My belt is slipping intermittently. This video is a big help. Thanks a bunch for posting it.

I would put the mower up on blocks(under tires) look at mounting points on transmissions for missing bolts or broken mounting points that could cause the belt alignment to be off. Start the mower and watch the belt as it goes around the pulleys and look for anything that the belt could possibly be rubbing on like clamps on the hoses on top of trans. Maybe even an idler pulley that could be locking up if the wear is on the wide side of the belt. Be sure to have brake set and block front wheels for safety. Hope this helps. Thanks

Great video and it helped me tremendously! I installed a new belt but for some reason I still have slack in it. I checked to make sure correct size and made sure to install belt correctly according to the diagram. Could this be a tension problem some how? My brake seems to have play in it until you push all the way down on it not sure if that has anything to do with it. Im puzzled. Is there some way to adjust tension on the drive belt? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

The belt will be loose when the brake is applied and should tighten up when you let off the brake. I always use the oem belt from cub. I have not had good luck with aftermarket belts. Thanks

My belt is getting chewed up real bad. I've replied it twice and it's still happening. The hydro pulleys were rusted and I cleaned them the best I could. What could be causing this?
