Usually the ignition coil just goes out and there is no spark.

One of the best and quickest ways to diagnose a engine problem , is called Prime For A Good Time , Prime the engine with carb. cleaner with no choke and at full throttle . If the engine runs on the prime then you know that Ignition , ignition timing are good , mechanical timing is good , compression is good all in 15 seconds . With out doing any work yet .If not then you have to do more testing . Most small engine work or problems are fuel related so this test is quick and works on any engine , Two stroke or four stroke , Sigle cylinder or eight cylinder .One of the quickest diagnostic method used . Remember Prime for a Good Time .

Locate your model number and then google search that mode number with the word parts. Once you find the parts diagram get the part number and search up that part number on Google. You should be able to find most parts on Amazon, eBay and other small engine repair sites.
