Hi Rory, yes, you watch my videos and all is sweetness and light but we certainly aren't going to Kent in our motorhome, or riding along Dover sea front lol.

Hi Anthony, it's always nice to hear off you as a regular but what's happened to David Talbot? He was always the first to comment but I haven't heard off him in ages. It was a quiet ride with one car and a Post Office van going passed. on the unclassified road. Cheers.

Great video, Derek. I bought a Cube Hybrid Allroad on the strength of your videos and it has been great so far. I live in SW France with some great cycling roads and tracks around us. Sometimes I could do with the full suspension setup, but for the most part it works just fine. I went out recently with a group of guys on their fancy (expensive) MTB's and I think that they chose some fairly challenging tracks (for my limited abilities). They went from sneering at my Cube, to open admiration at the end of the ride, especially after 2 of them fell off during the ride, but me and my trusty Cube made it round with no mishaps! So, thanks for your videos mate. 👍

Hi Bob, thanks for subscribing. I had to laugh at your friends falling off. On some of my videos I've gone on really rough tracks and the bike with its thin tyres never complains. This Cube was, for an e bike, not expensive, so it puzzles me why someone woud pay three times as much for one. I know you get what you pay for but what a bike the Cube is. It still rides like new even at 5,000 miles. There are more videos to come and a big 5,000mile review of the Cube and its history (that's if I can manage to put them on KZbin) There's the chain and cassette renewal of the Scott as well. Thanks for the comment from SW France. Cheers.

@@derektaylor6713 I completely agree with you about the price of some e-bikes compared to the Cubes. We travelled back to the UK in the summer to visit family and friends and whilst we were there we hired a couple of Giant e-bikes for a day to go riding with my eldest son. They were truly horrible in comparison to our Cubes. Anyway, I'll look forwards to your 5000 mile review video. 👍

Yes, the Cube is such a - what's the word I'm looking for? -- nice bike. And so forgiving. I almost feel it likes me and gets me back safely from wherever I've been on it. I don't intend getting rid of it sometimes soon. It's here for the long haul with long term running reports. In fact I've covered more miles on it than my old blue Carrera Vulcan, Carrera Vulcan e bike mk 1, Westhill Ghost and Carrera Vulcan e bike mk 2 put together, which is going some. Question is, at 71 years old who will last the longest. Me or the Cube? The Cube, probably lol.

Good to watch Derek, as to the oil rigs there are several fabrication companies in that area building and repairing them, although with the downturn and some jobs moved abroad not sure how much is left.

Aye, it's a wonder the Eco barmy lot haven't firebombed them and caused even more polution. lol. The funny tinking noise has never returned. Cube's done 5,025 miles now. Not a sound. Cheers and thanks for the info.

Hi Derek Nice journey yet again, a part of Scotland I haven't been to, only ever heard of Cromarty on the shipping forcast! 36mph one handed! You just wait until I tell Helen. You do handle that bike really solid at speeds though especially around them corners. Just across the bay from Fortrose is a big military fort called Fort George, have you ever been there? We watched a program the other day all about it and I've just noticed your parked right across from it. Yeah absolutely loved the film Derek, and the more you mention them sodding trees the more I'm noticing them now all over the place! I've no idea how this played out in the 60s 70s and 80s? Everywhere looks so bare back then by comparison, but why, did nothing grow back then? Cheers Derek

Hi Daron. Your op on Weds mustn't have affected your eyes lol. I take it you are well now? The bike is very stable even at moderate speeds and easy to handle and with those slicker tyres really rolls well along the road. It is very heavy so maybe it's that, that makes it stable. Like a dead weight! Yes, I must moan yet again about trees. After this we moved onto Oakwood near Aviemore and then Faskaly near Pitlochry. We went a ride to Loch Tummel and I filmed it but all you have is trees, trees and more bloody trees blocking everything so I'm not editing that one. Waste of time. Thanks for the comment.

Hi Derek so your back in sunny Scotland I've done that 5 hour drive a few times but it's all worth it when you get there 😀

Aye, it's a bit of a journey but all worth it at the end, bad weather or not. This video nearly went for a Burton as this was the third attempt to upload it on KZbin! I started uploading it yesterday afternoon at 1.30pm and went to bed with it still processing the HD version. I got up this morning finding it was still processing but after a bit of fiddling about I got it on at last. The film is only 4.4 gbs and 43 minutes long so what's the problem? I saw one video of a fish tank with marine fish swimming around that lasted for 11hours and 59 minutes. If my videos were that long it would take about six months to upload. And it's going worse with each video. Even a 20minute video is talking a lifetime to upload.
