Hermitcraft 9: Onward, Expanding! (Episode 74)

Welcome back to Minecraft from the Hermitcraft Season 9 Server! Today we are continuing to fill our museum with artifacts, displays, and collections of all kinds. We visit many hermits including ‪@docm77‬, ‪@Grian‬, ‪@impulseSV‬, and ‪@TangoTekLP‬ to collect artifacts today. We then finally get to press the button from ‪@ThatMumboJumbo‬ then explode a huge hole with TNT alongside ‪@JoeHillsTSD‬ and others. Finally we make a memorial in the museum honoring TFC.

For the empires crossover exhibit, you and cleo could collab and use the portal aspect as interactive. walk in at either museum and go through a little history tunnel to the other museum's exhibit. Cleo could rig up armor stands with the empires' people's heads to tell the story of the crossover

as in, there's a portal in cubs museum, and then in the nether there's a tunnel of the story, then a portal at the other end into Cleos museum?

So each would have a rift exhibit with the replica of the rift and some artifacts and storytelling, you walk through the "rift" which is an active nether portal, and you arrive in an enclosed tunnel to the other portal that is filled with cleo figures telling the crossover story. Maybe even get Scar in to link it all up with a waterway so it'd be like an interdimensional Disneyland ride

You need something from the GoKarts fundraiser event. Maybe a recreation of a few of the thrones that were made for each hermit, or something that represents some of the minigames. That was probably the most important thing that happened this season.

A museum basement could be cool, where you can store all the artifacts in long shelves before figuring out a way to properly display them. Perhaps even have rotating displays. Alternatively, you could also just turn the basement into a classic backrooms area.

Museum garden idea: have a “sculpture” contest between hermits with a limitation (like max 15 blocks or has to fit in a 4x4x4 block space). Maybe even make it part of a grand opening party. Thanks for continuing to put out great entertainment, Cub!

I love this idea and seeing the artifacts are literally putting tears in my eyes. All the memories! The dunce hat!! One idea could be making each Hermit (with their head on an armor stand) poised and doing/holding their most famous thing, like Tango doing Redstone stuff, sort of like a Wax Museum of famous people!

Something that might make a few diamonds for artifact acquisition, you could make one of those penny-presses. A hermit inserts a diamond, and the machine “presses” the diamond with a design representing a historic hermitcraft event/location/object. If you make a bunch of designs it might lead to some hermits trying to collect them all.

Few suggestions for the museum if they are not part of the collection: Part of Doc's destroyed tunnel bore A genuine hot-guy bow The head of Bdub's day-one horse The back of Grian's base Also inspiration for an interactive exhibit. Have you seen the doors for the entrance of decked out? What about an animatronic of Bdubs sliding into bed? Maybe triggered with a button or a light sensor?

A lot of museums have a "theme," like natural history or a specific type of art. Maybe you can let Cleo have all the king-related stuff while your place covers everything else. Not only is it nice, it's also more efficient and opens up space in your museum for different artifacts!

If it is an actual TFC head that is not just a season 9 rare item, It is a legendary hermitcraft history. I personally feel that is the rarest of them all and the first thing I want to visit when the world goes public.

I can tell you are having a lot of fun with this. A giant episode of artifact hunting. I still can’t believe Tango gave up his parkour crown, he was so pleased about that; he kept it in his enderchest at all times. And not in a shulkerbox either. It took up one of his precious 27 enderchest slots lol I’m glad he parted with it though! Looking forward to you giving all these hermits personal museum tours in the future. :p

With the Empires Lodestone bit, it might be interesting if the Empire Crossover had it's own small (or whatever size it ends up needing) room and the entrance to that room is the "Rift" with the Compass leading to the Lodestone to the opening of the "Rift," which you pass through to see the Empire crossover event stuff.

Regarding "Pranks & Events", for the Secret Fools stuff, since every museum 'needs' an art gallery, it'd be cool to make "paintings" like what Scar's done with his Hot Guy merch that depict each of the different pranks that occurred, as many of them cannot realistically be placed in the museum as conventional exhibits.

I'm amazed that nobody has suggested having an easter egg hunt within the museum itself. And for hats amd stuff that aren't rare, you could have a box where people can try them on. You do put the crown at the top of a parkour recreation (super cool), you should have a box with spyglasses by the door. And a return box so they can be "cleaned."
