These 80's and 90's Cubs games bring back fond memories of them on WGN at my grandparent's house. Games like this and many others is what made pro baseball special.

I'm not even a Cubs fan, but a hated Reds fan. But I loved this season. Where I lived, our only options for baseball on TV were the Braves and Cubs, and I watched every game I could - mostly at my grandparents' house. And now, all these years later, I remember this Cubs team so fondly.

When did Wrigleyville start adding those rooftop seating? Dad and I and a friend were there n 1968 and were shown on tv during the 7th inning stretch, I went back n 2010, and on my way home from a Cooperstown road trip, I sat n rf at the curve n the wall front row, and they even had a flat screen tv there, which I thought was kinda weird, Cubs played those Marlins and Cubbies won !!!

Please upload the doubleheader between the Phillies vs Cubs the following day after this game. Too bad u took out all those nostalgia commercials - really BAD idea - but WORSE idea to put the games score in the title - entirely ruins the possible drama one could experience in watching/enjoying the game. I knew the game was over when Sandberg hit the home run 1:52:15 - but theres 45 more minutes of game still to go.

@@bulldogsid I know it's been up for 6 years.... I find it hard to believe that people have not suggested you remove THE FINAL SCORE and action details from the title and desc... The drama of watching the game and wondering what's gonna happen and whose gonna win is completly ruined for anyone who'd like to have that experience of watching a live game and also going back in time.... Realize that you changing it now.. cant help me at all, I gain nothing petsonally.. but I'm caring for and thinking of others who'll come upon this later... Please seriously consider this suggestion... Theres just zero good that comes from knowing the score and hit details before watching... Actually a diminishing of enjoyment is the result for the individual who approaches these old games in hopes of being surprised from batter to batter... I sure hope you can respond after I've tried to thoughtfully & respectfully offer this which would be improvement and be for benefit of others.
