I do have decks I'm planning on moving on but I won't be doing that while the pandemic is happening. I'm in an at risk category for complications, so am isolating as much as possible and won't be making any trips to the post office any time soon I'm afraid!

Ommmggg please Katey, if you ever do decide to let go of the Liminal Tarot, please let me know!! I'm a newbie to tarot (you helped me so much with those beginner spreads!) and when I saw that deck, I just went 'wow' and felt the hairs on the back of my arm go up. So please, do let me know. It's fun to see videos like this. I did a massive deck declutter in mid-2017 throughout 2018. It was liberating getting rid of 100 decks. I have decluttered a few here and there this year but not much. I am considering another cull but it has been difficult. So far I managed to get two to be ready for decluttering. Otherwise, I have been decluttering mostly books/manga in the meantime.

Hi Katey, I am interested in the Tarot of the Crone, and I also read that you were not wanting to go to the post office during the pandemic, if the deck is still available, is there a way I could ne notified when you were willing to part with it? I am now rounding the corner to 150 decks...It took about 5 years to build, I have gotten rid of some beloved decks...pretty easily and I have a trade pile. I like having some of them even if I only look at them once in a while, but I have slowed down a bit. I can feel the freedom you're embracing through the video. Well done!

Your videos have been so helpful to me at the beginning of my journey, especially with how honest and open you are about everything. Even ones like this help me out when I just want to buy every deck that calls to me. Seeing folks cull their collections helps remind me to take more time in the research process before pulling the trigger. So thanks for that. ☺️ If you ever do get rid of the Light Seer’s Tarot, I’d love the opportunity to buy it from you. I’ve pre-ordered the mass market deck but hadn’t bit the tarot bullet (finally) until after I’d completely missed out on that deck. I’m sure the Hayhouse deck will be lovely and I’ll be happy to own it, but the Kickstarter version is practically everything I think I’d ever want in a deck. 🥰

Your reaction to counting how few decks you had left made me the happiest I’ve been all week!! I recently got rid of 6 decks (a good chunk of my own collection) and am contemplating a couple more. It can be HEARTBREAKING when you’re deciding, but it feels so freeing and good when you do it! I think it’s kind of beautiful too - letting the decks find new homes so they can help others, too. 💞

Good you get rid of the Goddess Oracle by Gaian Silvie Winter. I have it and except from some nice artwork, the content of the book is questionable. Her tone and opinion is quite rigid and you often wonder what her sources are. But especially one "goddess" annoyed me, the Goddess Tao. What the author tried to sell was that the philosophy of the Tao or Dao always was a goddess. After that this deck was not usable for me anymore except for decoration. Lol.

I love these videos! I'm also super surprised by you letting go the Plant Ally cards deck because I thought you loved it :) You're a BRAVE woman. WOW! I don't think I could do it. My tarot collection... I haven't counted lately but I think between 50 and 55? My oracle deck less than half that size, then I've got a few 'related' things that aren't cards: the Journey Tokens, my dice, & hoping soon to have dominos but haven't found the perfect ones. My solution to 'running out of space for decks' has been to get my partner or my dad to build more shelves... I've never felt compelled to downsize. I do let decks sit on my wishlist forEVer before I get them unless they're kickstarters or something -- I've been wanting to play with the Sasuraibito, the Fountain, and many others like this for SO long and just have never bought them yet -- there aren't many decks in my collection I'd consider letting go (and the few that I would are impulse-bought mass market decks that I can't see any demand for my copies anyway). I enjoyed your video!! I know I couldn't do it but I do like hearing your thought process about it.
