I’d like to thank you guys,I first listened to your music about 13-14 years ago during the darkest and hardest part of my life and it really helped me through.Even though I’m in a good place and feel so much better now each new record you release gives me comfort in listening,like an old friend that helps you through a dark time.Thank you.

Fantastic atmosphere. So many ideas, - rhythms, melodies. Beautiful poetic lyrics, intense vocal delivery. A great development on the sound of ADtF. May the Cult endure forever.
@xavkoston164 жыл бұрын
Yeahhh ! Totally agree. I like how they have more "changes" in their songs (like they do since ADTF), the sections are shorter and we have a lot of different dynamics and atmospheres in just one song hahaha

The Last Show before this horrendous Quarantine sacked every damned thing: Intronaut, Emma Ruth Rundle, Cult of Luna, San Francisco. My third favorite venue in The City of all time, the now mournfully shuttered Slim's (moment of silence)... When quarantine is lifted and touring resumes (it can happen, let's believe!!!). Anyone who has NOT seen this show, GET YOUR ASS OUT THERE!!!! You will never forget it... LOVE you guys man!!!

listening to this in headphones for the first time - by the gods, this is amazing! the production is stellar, the subtle touches in the percussion, the twinkly glockenspiel; structurally the song has A Dawn To Fear in it, but the sound is somehow warmer like Eternal Kingdom - not afraid to be slightly less aggressive behind those vocals... lush
@xavkoston163 жыл бұрын
The work on the percussion is amazing, those little kind of ghost notes on the intro are tasty as hell, and very well placed in the mix. And yes the sound is warm, powerfull, on the production side Magnus did a great job, as always !

This masterfully incorporates all of the greatest elements of their recent discography. I hear a blend of Eternal Kingdom and A Dawn to Fear, particularly "Nightwalkers" (one of my favorites) and "The Fall". But then it starts to sound a bit like Vertikal's "Synchronicity" (another favorite of mine). Somewhere in there were also some very Mariner-esque elements.
@narasimha71874 жыл бұрын
It masterfully incorporates the whole of Waving Radiant by Isis which I suggest you listen to instead.
@xavkoston163 жыл бұрын
@@narasimha7187 I listened to Wavering Radiant at least a hundred times and i have to disagree. Both bands are the king in their own style, it can sounds similar at first because they all have 10min long songs, but they are very different from each other. The difference between the rythmic sections of the 2 bands is enough to say they are (used to (isis)) making high quality music in 2 different world.

the lyrics are like the band said, almost an end of the "journey" began on A Dawn To Fear; I felt that that narrative was some kind of pilgrimage to a sacred worship / sacrifice site, taken (it seemed to me) over one night; is this the destination? it's got that "glory" feel to it! I just the noticed the 16th notes on the toms towards the end, woah
