I still find wwe firing Matt Hardy a very wwe move, aka very hypocritical, they rewarded lita and edge with an extra push for having an affair, while firing the victim for speaking publicly about it, feels similar to how wwe punished Rusev and Lana by splitting them up for years for getting married.

@Matt-cr4vv
@Matt-cr4vv 7 ай бұрын
The issue wasn’t that they got married. The issue was that smack dab during an angle where they were in a split and dispute and with other people on the show that they were posting about their wedding all over their social media effectively destroying what was happening on the show. They could’ve at minimum not been posting about it at that time or the best move may have been delaying their nuptials until after the story had concluded. It’s not s wild theory that doing that wasn’t going to be seen positively
@Matt-cr4vv
@Matt-cr4vv 7 ай бұрын
What happened to Matt was pretty shitty no doubt but even that one falls a tad on him, although not to a level that give the company a pass. How Matt felt and his anger were more than fair but it’s not like he did what he did publicly and was then let go out of the blue without some prior warning. He was spoken to and asked to stop doing what he was doing and to handle his problems privately among the involved parties rather than going off the rails about in public like he did. And it was only after ignoring multiple warnings that he got fired. But then as Matt has said himself before his 90 days ended he was brought back in at a larger guaranteed amount than he had been earning before. And he was there for another chunk of years so in the end as shitty as it was it all turned out ok for him in the end.

The Randy Savage rumor? I assume that’s the one involving Stephanie? Yeah, no, sorry, nothing’s been confirmed, even to this day. Anything said by anyone not involved is just speculation. I'd argue that Savage should be at the top, not because of why he left but because of why he was never welcomed back. I don't buy that the Slim Jim deal on its own was enough for Vince to declare Randy persona non grata. There has to be something beyond that. I don't think the Stephanie rumors are true personally, but admittedly I don't have a better idea.

WWE just hates when wrestlers act like what they're worth. It really bugs me when Stone Cold talks about leaving now and says it was his fault. No it's not, he acted like what he was worth. John Cena said something similar about him not getting over intially. It's the companies fault they didn't give him anything to work with, and I think it's ridiculous how much WWE has tried to make the company bigger than the talent they're supposed to promote, and the fact Vince seems to generally believe people are fans of WWE as a brand and not the wrestlers they promote is the root cause of a lot of their issues imo.
