Random fact: The Gorgeous George vs Charles Robinson match actually had a MAJOR upside. George was so grateful to the female jobber who trained her that she sweettalked Savage into getting her put on TV with them, which made WCW actually use her, which brought her to the attention of the WWF, who hired her in 2000 and brought her in under the name of Molly Holly.

There's something so incredibly funny about the idea of Ric Flair in a first blood match. I feel like Charles Robinson didn't end the match to the first blood because the match would last about 30 seconds thanks to Flair's inhuman ability to bleed at the slightest touch once he enters a wrestling ring.

Uncensored 1999 was probably the most disastrous. Any chance of salvaging the Fingerpoke of Doom died on that show. WCW would start really collapsing shortly afterwards..

For context, that tag title match at Super Brawl was the finals of a double elimination tournament. Windham and Henning didn't lose up to that point, so Benoit and Malenko would have had to have defeated them twice.

No, it's not that. If you think that wcw didn't need Hogan in 1999, then you are wrong. You can go and watch wcw in 2000 when Hogan wasn't there, and the shows were so much lackluster. Star power is a very important aspect in pro wrestling. That's the reason why wwe welcomed punk in 2023 even though they are currently the hottest promotion.

I blame multiple things. Vince Russo. Older wrestlers not putting over younger talent (specifically Hulk Hogan wrestling contract clause), And Eric Bishop trying to hard to win the Monday night wars. All of them together was just a receipt for disaster. WCW would of been fine if they didn't rushed and panicked it to win the ratings. They panicked, and for that they caused its own demise sadly.

Disco Inferno is my fav wrestler of all time, so let me shock you by saying, you are being too harsh on him. Yes, he's a menace on Twitter/X but he was a solid worker with a gimmick that was over. People danced during his intro every time. They liked seeing him get beat, that's the heel's job. Plus he was a booker for multiple promotions in his time. He had a mind for the business. Forget that he's an a-hole outside of the business.

Tha fuq. Whoever made the decision to have one of the referees be totally ass-backwards like in that Uncensored ME should've been "pinned" BY the Fame-Asser and made to see how it feels to lose so nonsensically. A terrible gimmick applied to the very worst sort of match for it.

The Uncensored main event isn't really that hard to grasp, especially with Flair turning heel and Charles Robinson becoming his crooked referee in the fallout of the show. The First Blood stipulation was meant to be a farce and Charles Robinson was just never going to award the match to Hogan. The problem is, WCW main events on TV were so haphazardly booked with all sorts of wacky finishes, ranging from standard interference DQs to wrestlers getting pinned in matches they weren't even in, that it was really plausible for a First Blood match to have both people bleeding and end in pinfall. Also, Hogan was the leader of the nWo for almost three years at that point, with many of his biggest accomplishments coming at the expense of Flair (he had just turned Flair's son against him on the previous PPV), so why should anyone really feel bad about the tables being turned here?
