The biggest shocker to me and one reason I've become somewhat desensitized to the "shocking returns" of the caliber on this list is Jeff Jarrett not only being inducted into the HoF but also working as a producer with the occasional on screen stuff. Between him holding up Vince for money, being publicly fired when Vince bought WCW, and starting TNA, I thought he'd NEVER be affiliated with WWE again.

It's crazy that I was in attendance for 3 of these moments. Edge - I had little hope Edge would show up, it honestly didn't make much sense to me. When I heard "You think you know me" the stadium erupted. I was going nuts just like everyone else, place felt like a mosh pit during his entrance. I kept smiling during the match, I couldn't believe I got to see Edge wrestle again. Daniel Bryan - I woke up to the news of him cleared to wrestle. The arena were chanting yes before the show started, cheers during the video package, with more loud yes chants. When Bryan actually started to fight later that night, the arena was loving it with LOUD yes chants. Stone Cold - I had ZERO hope Austin would wrestle. Quick brawl, stunner, he counts the 1 2 3, happy ending. When the bell rang everyone around me was shocked, while I'm over here screaming "WHAT?! THIS IS A MATCH?!" It was fun. Wrestling is crazy, but being part of the crowd during these kind of moments are ones you will never forget.

We all know why Bret was brought in in 2010. And on that specific night. Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair made their debuts in TNA on that very same night. While Hogan's debut was announced back in November of 2009, WWE didn't learn of Flair's debut until just couple of weeks before it happened. Plus, not to even mention the return of Jeff Hardy on that same night, which was kept secret until the very show. WWE simply needed to counter Hogan's TNA debut with something equally bombastic. Bret wasn't even mentioned on screen until after Hogan's TNA debut was announced in November. They simply needed something bombastic to counter and had to come up with something quickly. And it worked.

Bruce Prichard said on his podcast years ago on their TNA deep dive that during his time as the head of talent relations with TNA that the roster in TNA on average were making around 80% of what they’d be making in the WWE if they were in the same position there as they were in TNA. So you think of making 80% of what you’d make in the WWE but you get to work on the TNA schedule where you would go to universal like once or twice a month for a few days to tape a chunk of shows and then be off of work for however much time it was until the next chunk of tapings instead of being on the road basically all the time going town to town and running on fumes all the time and grinding out the wild schedule they ran. And then think of it for a Sting who Dixie absolutely loved per Bruce. If you were him it probably had to be a pretty awesome gig to work a super light schedule by comparison and if the average for everybody else was 80% or what you’d earn in the WWE, and Angle confirming that he was earning 7 figures his entire time with TNA, for somebody as revered by Dixie as sting he had to have been earning 7 figures too while having the super light schedule. If you could have a gig like that I can see why you’d pass on the WWE for so many years because outside of just being able to say you finally did it why would you give up a sweet gig like what he had? If you could work as light of a schedule with next to zero travel like they did and still make seven figures anything outside of getting a light schedule and an absurd amount more from a WWE wouldn’t be appealing at all I imagine. Once I head that on Bruce’s show it made way more sense why you saw some people stay out there instead of leaving over the years.
