I agree that the marriage bed is undefiled so within marriage do what you want and enjoy yourself within the confines of marriage safely. But you brought up lust.... As it pertains to lust there are many people that are married whom have fallen into lust. Lust is having a desire beyond the will of God beyond what God desires you to have beyond what your spouse can give you, beyond your spouse. Lust is a spirit and spirits gain entrance through thoughts that are not cast down, and those whom we give our ear to so marriage does not solve lust. Only the love of Jesus set us free from lust. Only God can change our appetites and transform them to desire the things of God

@chasingthesun904 жыл бұрын
@@wid_mywoes1646 this video is very helpful as it has given a platform for you to be redirected to the Word of God. God has already given His opinion on your question. God said: *Proverbs 7:2-3* 2 Keep my commands and you will live; guard my teachings as the apple of your eye. 3 Bind them on your fingers; write them on the tablet of your heart. When you see Proverbs 7:2-3, and you join this with what God said about your body being the temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20) you will see that no way can stripping down and dancing provocatively in the name of carnival be good? What does it seek to achieve? Is it not a form of titillation? It's not about a check box of what you can or cannot do - but rather, is it in line with the character of God? Would you be comfortable to have a carnival girl twerking on you in the presence of God? God is not against sex, he created it to be enjoyed in the covenant of marriage - but does not like to see it abused. God calls of us to be pure and Holy because He is Holy (1 Peter 1:16). When we give in to the flesh we leave no room for the Holy Spirit to work in our lives. *Reasons to prioritize the Holy Spirit in your life over your instincts* God has a plan for your life, but you must want that more than your flesh desires to follow its instincts to see it come through. What is God's plan? That's between you and Him, but it is tied up in the gifts, talents and opportunities He's given you in life. Are you maximizing every area and opportunity God has given you to the best of your ability? Are you doing everything as unto the Lord? (Colossians 3:23) Read Proverbs for yourself, it is very easy reading because of the issues we see in society today; and you will see that many of the things we think are mysteries God has addressed in His word. God bless you. Life isn't always easy, but we can do all things in a life committed to Christ (Philippians 4:13). God has told us *FLEE* sexual immorality (1 Corinthians 6:18). *Not negotiate with it* Take it out of your line of sight. Fill your eyes, your mind and time with the things of God. Think of why God would say this? He understands human nature. Don't deceive yourself by making excuses to have a small taste or exposure. God will not be mocked *Genesis 39: 11-12* One day Joseph went into the house to attend to his duties, and none of the household servants was inside. Potiphar's wife *caught him by his cloak* and *begged* “Come to bed with me!” But Joseph left his cloak in her hand and *RAN* out of the house. He fled! Joseph knew Proverbs 7 in his heart before it was even written! Joseph was not desperate or short of opportunities. We learn later that he married and had children so as a normal hormonal man he had an inkling of the pleasure sex can potentially bring. We are told that he was well-built and handsome so he would've understood the female gaze. Yet in all of that, he chose not to use his looks to secure sexual favours but live according to what would please God. What a testimony! I'm sure God was smiling with pride, even though it took him to the dungeon--you see how God used that for Joseph's promotion? There are consequences for our actions and God rewards and withholds according to the level of maturity we show in the area we want to move forward in. A life with God has conditions and He wants us to all have a personal relationship with Him, so please seek out what He says in the Bible first hand and ask the Holy Spirit for clarity if you don't understand. That's why we have the Holy Spirit in us, to get God's opinion first hand. He does not speak of his own accord but only truth from God (John 16:13). Jesus died for that personal relationship so we would not be seeking out prophets for a message and understanding the way they had to in the old testament. Nor is it the times before the reformation and Martin Luther who took it upon himself to translate the Bible from Hebrew and Greek so that for the first time it was accessible to the common man, and not just those in the seminary. How blessed we are. Wow I don't know why I'm so compelled to write all this but hope you found it helpful. Concrete verses showing more of God's thoughts on our sexual conduct and how we comport ourselves with the opposite sex are below. God bless

@@wid_mywoes1646 *Matthew **5:27**-28* You have heard that it was said to those of old, 'You shall not commit adultery.’ But I say to you that *whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart* ***Do you think stripping for carnival will encourage or discourage you in looking at a woman in lust?*** *1 Timothy 2:9* Likewise also that women should adorn themselves in *respectable apparel, with modesty* and self-control ***What do you think are the positives or negatives of women dressing respectably? And what is the reason for your answer?*** *Proverbs 7* *The Wayward Woman - Dressed as a prostitute* My son, keep my words and store up my commands within you. 2 Keep my commands and you will live; guard my teachings as the apple of your eye. 3 Bind them on your fingers; write them on the tablet of your heart. 4 Say to wisdom, “You are my sister,” and to insight, “You are my relative.” 5 They will keep you from the adulterous woman, from the wayward woman with her seductive words. 6 At the window of my house I looked down through the lattice. 7 I saw among the simple, I noticed among the young men, a youth who had no sense. 8 He was going down the street near her corner, walking along in the direction of her house 9 at twilight, as the day was fading, as the dark of night set in. 10 Then out came a woman to meet him, *dressed like a prostitute* and with crafty intent. 11 She is unruly and defiant, her feet never stay at home; 12 now in the street, now in the squares, at every corner she lurks. 13 She took hold of him and kissed him and with a brazen face she said: 14 “Today I fulfilled my vows, and I have food from my fellowship offering at home. 15 So I came out to meet you; I looked for you and have found you! 16 I have covered my bed with colored linens from Egypt. 17 I have perfumed my bed with myrrh, aloes and cinnamon. 18 Come, let’s drink deeply of love till morning; let’s enjoy ourselves with love! 19 My husband is not at home; he has gone on a long journey. 20 He took his purse filled with money and will not be home till full moon.” 21 With persuasive words she led him astray; she seduced him with her smooth talk. 22 All at once he followed her *like an ox going to the slaughter,* *like a deer stepping into a noose* 23 till an arrow pierces his liver, like a bird darting into a snare, little knowing it will cost him his life. 24 Now then, my sons, listen to me; pay attention to what I say. 25 Do not let your heart turn to her ways or stray into her paths. 26 Many are the victims she has brought down; her slain are a mighty throng. 27 Her house is a highway to the grave, leading down to the chambers of death - *Again, do you agree or disagree with the advice in Proverbs 7? And what is the reason for your answer?*

@@wid_mywoes1646 You must think of your life with God as a shelter in a hurricane. The moment you step outside the house (and God's will) you are at the mercy of the elements. Whereas God's will has a bespoke plan for you to thrive in that house, in the hurricane no such importance or focus is put on your life except that you succumb to the hurricane
