Boy George is probably the most under appreciated singer from the 80s, and he was masterful in front of the camera in all his videos with his dance moves, eye contact and hand movements. This track is arguably one of their finest - just a perfect storm of George's vocals, the motown infused sound, harmonica intro, Helen Terry's amazing backing voice, and a video that is pure art - such an uplifting song from a group that was ahead of its time.

Ringo never had the same status that the other Three did. He hardly wrote or Sang, and he didn't create the first Benefit Concert. To many people he was just the guy who was in the right place at the right time. There are so many folks who have yet to be Inducted like Chic. To many they were just a Disco Group but they did so much. They were Songwriters, Producers, and they allowed their Music to be used for the First Rap Record.

They were huge back in the day but their legacy is dismissed out of hand. They were highly original with deep undertones. They were one of the few bands who defined that era- as short lived as it was. I was in my senior year in high school when they broke out. And they caused quite a sensation. They deserve a better spot in pop music history.

I remember one day I said to my mother how meaningful I realized the song "Karma Chameleon," was/is, because, as a younger person, I only liked it because it was a catchy tune. But then as I got older and listened to the lyrics I learned the true depth of the song's message. My mother said to me, "Didn't you realize that, from the beginning?"

Seeing things now, I'm convinced he was a head of his time and courageous! His image should should distract anyone from his artistic genius. For me, this song is the absolute masterpiece of culture club and the video is sweet. The duet of Boy George and the lady with the short hair is sensational, their voices are complementing each other so well. Beside that, Boy George is so pretty (actually beautiful with sparkling eyes etc) and flirtatious. No wonder that both men and women fell for him. What artists! Where are such of this kind nowadays?
