Thanks for your video. Just experienced water in fuel in my Pete with ISX. Thanks to you, we know how to drain the filter.

Dave I'm in the process of getting this truck but still not sure. I'm extremely worried I won't get good mpg. I pull 5k to 35k van 48 & Canada. I did a lot of research but it seems like your the only giving out so much info on the 2017. They have a 475hp option instead but I want the 550hp. In one video you started talking about you mpg then it got cut short. If I don't get this truck it will be a Volvo 780 but I'm really leaning toward w900. Thanks Dave keep those videos coming!!!!!👍👍👍

I could use a close up on where that drain valve is located. I’ve got water in my fuel filter needs draining after I lost the dam diesel cap. Anyway, more good stuff know.

the one part i didnt get in there was the repriming, for that, you turn the key on, let it cycle, shit the key off and repeat that a few times

Can’t you also start the truck and loosen the cap for the filter until all the fuel goes down to regular operating height
@smokeinapeterbilt3 жыл бұрын
@@jellymolina6972 It's better to prime it by cycling the key to fill the filter. If you don't and you try to start the engine, you'll get one hell of a air pocket in the system.

That filter wasn't used up yet. Probably could have gotten another 15000 miles out of it. No need to change it until the fuel level is up to the black band on the filter wrap.

WRONG. You need to clean out the bottom of that filter base you will find all kinds of crap it will clog the check valve on the inlet pipe from the tank. which is a major cause for engine surging and slow starting.
@StickNclutch3 жыл бұрын
Yeah but doing that will actually cause it to catch air pockets because you went below the diesel lines which causes even more damage to the Injectors especially on this very red Cummins they are very sensitive. You can do that all day to the Detroit 12.7 no problem but not this baby red motor

👎👎👎you’re supposed let it rain all the way so all the dirt come out little black peaces
@qb36664 жыл бұрын
That’s what I thought u should do drain it so all the gunk come out. Then fill it out with a new gallon or half diesel. Then prime it
