With the 6.4 cross brace for the RAD, the 08+ I believe, has a crimped style radiator. So when the body mounts go bad it causes the rad to go under stress and causes it to loosen up and eventually start leaking from the seams themselves. Cross member upgrade and their aluminum rad is the best fix I’ve found. But make sure body mounts are good and torqd to spec and you’ll never have an issue!

No not everyone swears by PB blaster. The stuff is completely useless. ACDelco 10-4020 is the only penetrating oil I'll buy anymore. Anyway, I'm late discovering Taylor's channel but I've followed this build all the way through so far. Great videos!

They're pricey af but you should def save up and in a couple years (maybe more whatever) get some nasty forged rods and some monotherm pistons from Mahle and get nasty with boost. Also try one of those new Turbonator VNT turbos.

If i remember correctly, you don't need to hold the key until the truck starts. Just bump the key to start and then let go and the truck will continue to crank till it fires. That's how it was on my 08 6.4 f350. Most newer vehicles are that way now (to prevent burning up the starter)

I doubt you will have any issues but if this truck ever gets warmer than expected I think it would be because the fan is fully inside the shroud and not half in half out like OEM

Watching this brings back all the memories of doing my 12v swap in my Excursion! I used DCS for all my conversion parts as well and it turned out great. I never got my 5R110 to shift the way I wanted it to but im sure you will get yours sorted out! Love the content and I wish you the best!

Wouldn’t you want the barb fitting on the upper radiator hose? To allow it to purge air out of the top of the cooling system where the air would be trapped?

Like the other guy said, an om606 might be worth looking into. They’re pretty beast engines if you put some work into them. They’re usually called the diesel 2jz. Then again, a 4bt is also super good but might be a tough fit idk.

hey taylor idk if you have the power mirror option that my 08 has but if you put the mirror adjuster in the center position then pull it back it'll fold the mirrors in automagically!
