Watching the Junkyard Digs crew breathe new life into the Possum Van is like watching MacGyver if he had a few more wrenches and a lot more duct tape! I went to a Red Green taping in 2001 (I was 16… incidentally it was the weekend after 9/11), the episode with skateboards with chainsaw motors mounted to them. They did a pop quiz, whoever got the question right won a prop from the show (in this case it was a card for a free shoe shine). The question was “what is the year, make a model of the Possum Van?” I was the ONLY person in the auditorium to raise their hand, and of course I got the answer right. Red seemed really intrigued how a 16 year old kid knew that.
@RedGreenTV3 ай бұрын
That's a legendary Possum Lodge moment right there! Nailing the year, make, and model of the Possum Van at 16? You were clearly born for the Lodge life. Most epic episode yet Kevin. Having met Steve years ago and casually chatting with him, myself and my girls were blessed with his kindness to his fans. I asked him where Harold was and he had a story already made and ready to go. Harold was grounded for not having his chores done yet said he did them. Such a great show we got to watch here in Michigan. You were there during the Model A event. Paul Shinn was there as one of the officers of the Model A group, host, presenter. He made several videos for his channel and his wife's channel. I wanted to attend the Gilmore but my health being so sketchy, I had to pass again for the year. Congrats on the wedding, we just passed 42 years last month. Keep up the work, love the content, especially the farming with revived equipment from the field. Old neighbor was an SR-71 pilot...but then again, my dad was a pilot, twice over vet. Grew up with some awesome guys, but you wouldn't know it initially because the truly bd-ass guys never puffed themselves up. BTW, we lost two SR-71's in development because the air was traveling so fast the fuel wasn't totally burning. It would start collecting then ignite, leading to an uncontrollable yaw. I'm in upstate NY but we got CBC over the air. Every week my dad and I would watch the Red Green Show. Great memories. He's gone now, but he would have loved watching this! On a side note, always loved the B series vans. Not a mopar guy but these vans are the exception.

Just wanted to let you know, I'm from Phoenix. Grew up on the Red Green Show, too and I've never met anyone else that knows what it is down here. Always love your videos. Congratulations on the wedding brother.

First, congrats to you and Mook on your wedding! I first caught the Red Green Show when I lived in Maine many years ago. Funny stuff. Getting back into it again. I’ve had a couple of Dodge vans, one being a 77 4x4 Pathfinder conversion, so I feel the PTSD that Dalton went through with his! 😁 It doesn’t matter if it’s baling wire or duct tape, fixed is fixed!

Love the Possum van, good job!! I grew up watching Red Green Show and and re-watched all the episodes on youtube 2 years ago. The transitions were awesome. Nicely Done Kevin and Angus!! If you could of found a way to throw in the Possum Lodge Word Game, that would of been epic!!!

This is a crossover I never expected I’d see in my life. When I was growing up The red green show wasn’t being produced anymore so all I could watch was re runs at 6am before school. I loved that show so much and the fact that my favourite KZbin channel has basically made a new episode of the show is the best (Canadian) thanks giving I could’ve asked for. Great video guys!

In the early 90s, my family and I were on a trip out east. I was in bed trying to go to sleep when I heard my dad dying of laughter. I came out to see what he was watching, which turned out to be the Red Green Show. I started watching it with him, and I was hooked ever since.
