Then it changed to Jordan-Palestine where mostly Jews and Arabs lived in peace. Then in 1948, after the declaration of the state of Israel, all hel broke loose because the Arabs did not agree the 2 state division of the land. THEY threw the first punch, not the Jews. They won the war and as a result conquered even more land. After that, there were numerous occasions where the Arabs were given a chance to get more land and be autonomous. They declined every one of them. One in particular was extremely generous, they should have taken it. Bottom line, they do not want peace with the Jews, they want them out. At any cost, which is what we are witnessing today unfortunately.
