If that's the case, I'm scared to think how little they'd offer us in Scandinavia. The double tabs was a new addition to Japanese cup Ramen. It's to keep the lid extra secure while the noodles cook. They had super cute/funny promo for it. Of course, being Japan, they added a kitty face too but I didn't realize that would actually be on every lid. So cute lol

It's a typical Japanese corporate trope to export a crappier version of their lauded home market product, and use resulting lukewarm demand to justify selling only the crappy cheap version abroad. Japanese ramen makers really need to export their domestic noodles under a 'premium' subbrand. The koreans are, no pun intended; eating their lunch in export instant noodles, as the koreans don't dumb down their noodles for export.

The “cat ear” tabs are actually rather new! I read that this is to reduce the amount of plastic (also to cut back on costs I guess..) The cups used to come with a plastic sticker that helped you secure the lid as well. I like all flavors, but I like adding bits of cheese to the chili tomato one. Some people in Japan also add hot milk instead of hot water to the seafood one.

First off literally all foods are made of "chemicals", second off any major crop you buy at any grocery store is GMO. Corn, onions, potatoes, bananas, etc all GMO, or did you think they all just come out looking exactly the same by coincidence?

As someone who is anosmic, I really appreciate how much detail she goes into scents and flavors. I always get curious how scent works, what people pick up and how things smell like, so Emmy answers a lot of age old questions for me! And the detail in which she goes into it is the closest I’ll get to smelling it myself. I also love it when she describes the flavor of a food I’ve had before, since she goes into every note of flavor I can tell what kinds of tastes I can pick up on and what kinds I miss.

I'm the type of person that LOVES cup ramen noodles and those looked great! I would've gotten excited about the kitty too as a cat lover/owner! I love this! 🥰 Seafood will always be my favorite and it’s so good made with milk or soy milk! Try it cause it makes it like chowder-ish. Curry is good with rice in it after you are done with your noodles and if you like cheese it’s even better 😁 I’m so glad I can purchase Cup Noodle series at my local grocery now but you are right and the toppings and flavorings are lacking compared to the ones bought in Japan. Definitely go to the Cup Noodle museum if you go to Japan in Yokohama!

We actually did get little shrimps in our cup noodle soups here in the USA, well southern California at least and pieces of chicken too and beef, then at some point everything was changed to flavored cup noodle.

Literally why I love beer. Most sodas just taste like sparkly sugar to me and are way too sweet, with root beer being the exception because it has an earthy flavor that cuts through some of the sugar. But normal beer is better: the same fizz of soda but with a bitter bready flavor.

Emmy, all the sodas are based in common type of soda and they add the soup flavor, if i'm remembrer right, the traditional one is ginger ale flavor, the seafood is cream soda, the curry one is cola, the tomato one is orange soda, I thin it was writen in the can, but maybe i'm remembering it wrong

People need to go to the Cup Noodle Museum in Yokohama (the one in Osaka is a lot smaller; like at least1/5th the size) you can make your own custom cup noodle. I made my own with was a Curry Cup Noodle with cheese, pork, egg, and green onion. Best cup noodle ever. Also, you can find Cheese Curry Cup Noodle Ramen in corner stores in Japan and it is genuinely the best flavour of cup noodle.
