Geiranger is a village in western Norway at the head of Geirangerfjord. The Geirangerfjord is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, surrounded by steep mountains, wild waterfalls, and lush greenery. This is one of Norway's most beautiful fjords to visit AND the most famous.
One of the best way to experience Geirangerfjord is to take the ferry sightseeing cruise. It's around an hour to an hour and a half of pure breathtaking beauty.
When you arrive to Geiranger, things to do in Geiranger include:
-Hiking the Flydalsjuvet (the viewpoint in the video)
-See Seven Sisters Waterfall and Firaren (both can be seen from the boat too!)
Drive up the Trollstigen mountain, a set of road that weaves through the mountain.
*Please note this series was filmed in May which is off tourist season for Norway and still Winter. Some roads in Norway were closed including hikes; however, it was less crowded and cheaper! We experienced some rainfall but nothing too bad. Do be careful of hikes on cliffs and hills as the rain makes the ground muddy.

It was suppper expensive to take the car back and forth :( Split between 4-5 people is ok but not worth it for 2 people. So we were like...LET'S TAKE A CHANCE 😂

11:23 That obnoxious thing is a swedish candy brand, and you picked, in my opinion, the by far worst taste. Claims to be a mix of viola and salmiakk, which I don't even know how they fit int ocandy. Salmiakk in Norway is a cleaning detergent on the level of bleach, but meant for cleaning ceramic or hardwood. Probably something else in the candy, but the names are the same, and.. yuck :p It's also worth noting that some stores are open on sundays, but each store has to limit its supplies on sundays to 100 square meters of shelf space. You will almost always find a convenience store open in the bigger cities, but inland tourism spots like this where the locals run everything, sundays are very much sacred :p Open sundays are still pretty heavily debated in the commercial circuits, as the owners and shareholders like the idea and gladly break the 100 sqm law to push sales, while store owners and clerks disapprove and would rather stay closed. They're overruled by Norgesgruppen, who are one of 3 chains owning the stores in Norway. Coop being its main competitor. The last group is Reitangruppen, who only owns 1 chain, the Rema 1000 stores.

It's very safe to hitchhike in Norway. One of the lowest crime rates in the world and decent people makes sure of that. Of course, precautions SHOULD be taken. You never know, even in the safest of places.
