Your arm is 90 degrees but your forearm needs to stay parallel to the floor. The strap needs to be straight across the back of your hand equidistant to all your knuckles and perpendicular to the floor throughout the entirety of the lift.
@glenns001 Жыл бұрын
agree, strap is on the arm too much making the lift easier, still really strong to lift that much

Devon's lift is a little different. His forearm is always parallel with the ground, both at the start and at the end of the lift, meaning the weight is always pulling down with a perpendicular vector from his forearm. You're only parallel with the ground (almost) at the very start and then immediately change the angle, and pause at the top, where it's easier. It still looks like a really good lift for armwrestling, it's just a bit different. Stay strong 💪

If you don't have enought hip mobility you can't replicate perfectly the Devon's lift... @adrianbobrowski7815 Жыл бұрын
90 degrees is only one important factor, second even more important is to have your forearm parallel to floor. When you change the angle of your body then your 90 degree between bicep and forearm doesn’t longer secure efficiency of this lift because gravity works always in the same vector. You need to be both parallel to the floor with forearm and 90 degree angle in bicep. So you have to stand up more than lean back if you want to do this properly otherwise you are helping yourself. Those little details in technique are changing your result alot.

Ermes your having same problem here as me. The strap is to long and theirfore its harder to get perfectly parrallel to the ground. When you do the lift you want to try and keep your arm from leaning back on your thigh. You only want your arm leaning back cose to 15 to 30 degrees once you go to far back with your tricep on your thigh your arm structures starts to lever up the weight more then lift it up and it makes it way easier. When you try and keep your arm from leaning back and leave your wrist uncupped to mimic a climbing motion it makes the lift way harder. I can only do around 60 with "good" form but when i allow my arm to lean back as far as you did i can do 70 to 80 IBs. So it can ad 20% or more to your lift. Always keep in mind Quality Form with intesity equals Quality Muscle.

I’m a huge Devon fan!! He’s my favorite, tied with this man. Having said that I love them both…- I honestly believe that Ermes “let” him win. What I mean by that is he gave to much up, had to much respect and leeway mentally given. If he gave 100% like the Levan match I honestly believe he would’ve won. So I’m 100% that the rematch will for sure be ermes. He could’ve won this last time and is only getting much stronger as he was hard on himself for loosing and training even harder. It’ll definitely be a more even playing field this next time arround.

@eddie0Fll Жыл бұрын
Esatto.
