Cheryl has ALWAYS been insufferable. There’s one moment in the earlier seasons when another person was going after Larry, and Cheryl immediately took their side even though Larry wasn’t wrong. It felt like she saw her husband in a less-than-favorable-position, and she automatically went into self preservation mode. But for all you women hating dudes lurking here, let’s make this fair: Larry David is also insufferable on the show.

I always felt it’s because they’re essentially old people trying to be mindful of what they eat while also showing up to support a friend. Jeff shouldn’t have any southern food considering his heart condition and his weight. Larry always ate sensibly. I mean, he’s been pretty thin for as far as I can remember. Likely doesn’t enjoy eating too many unhealthy foods. Susie is always trying to diet. Or maybe those were just starter salads before their mains arrive.
