Until the age of 50 I had not had any major issues with my teeth....they were quite nice. Then my daughter, who is handicapped, came with my grandkids and stayed with me for 9 months. About a month into the stay I happened to notice I hadn't seen her tooth brush so I asked her, Honey what toothbrush are you using? She had developed in the last 2 years a terrible tooth problem that was causing significant decay at the gum line and her teeth were thinning and rotting at the gumline. I panicked! Unfortunately, within 6 months I noticed the same decay pattern in my own beautiful teeth. 😭 I had brushed my teeth at least 2 times per day with this same toothbrush unknowingly. When I spoke with the dentist he would not give any weight to my story of what had occurred, but instead attributed it to aging, menopause, etc .. I'm still angry as I ended up losing my teeth due to the high cost associated with the major work he wanted to do. I simply didn't have thousands of dollars. It has made me very, very conscientious about the teeth of the 2 grandchildren I am raising. Having natural teeth is such a blessing.

Excellent video yet again, but can I add some misunderstood questions.There's this confusion between white oral thrush and plaque I see people asking what's this white stringy stuff that appears after cleaning teeth and the answers are multiple, everything from shedding of old cells, harsh chemicals in the toothpaste. Second question, while following Dr Ellie what should we be noticing daily, like is this plaque when using xylitol inhibiting the plaque from forming on the teeth and thus it collects on the soft tissue at which point it can be wiped away. The less sticky the saliva, the greater reduction load of the plaque in the mouth, I think these are just some of the questions that will help aid those of us following Dr Ellie strategy.

Without wishing to give offence to anyone, I've always had lower expectations when I found my mouth in the hands of a female dentist than a male one. I'm not exactly sure why as I've had no such apprehensions where doctors are concerned, (although a strikingly pretty young Dutch dentist who chickened out of replacing my crown just because the x-ray showed I'd had previously had root-canal work on the tooth may have been the start of it.) Dr Ellie is, however, easily the SMARTEST dentist I've come across. Her approach is 'joined-up' in a medically wholistic way and her sheer breadth of knowledge on any mouth issue on which she speaks is just breath-taking. Who is this dentist?
@Autonomy027 күн бұрын
@@olgawahl4389 It was back in the summer of 2008, just before I left Holland so I cannot recall her name. I am also not sure it would be fair to reveal her name even if I did recall it as she was no more than mid-twenties then (and therefore new in practice) and so - in all probability - may well have gained greater confidence in her competence over a further 16 years of practice. I would, frankly, be astonished if that were not the case. What I will say is that she was in the Amsterdam area and was working during a period when every other dentist in Amsterdam seemed to be away on a one month holiday. Having given information that could conceivably identify her, it is only fair that I also add that she was good enough to offer to email the x-ray of the tooth in question to me so that I could pass it on to whichever dentist I went to back in the UK. In that respect she was a good deal more conscientious than the next youngish female dentist my forgiving nature caused me to ply her trade in my mouth. That was right in the centre of Newcastle some eleven years later. With the passage of time; her assured, business-like demeanour (and the fact that - in strong contrast to the Dutch one - she had a face like the back of a bus) I took a chance on her for the replacement of a metal crown on a rear molar (done in elsewhere the previous year). There was still blood when I flossed, suggesting that it hadn't healed properly though I had no pain. Where the metal crown had been a 'clone' of the original tooth in size, she replaced it with a visibly smaller porcelain one. The bleeding was no longer a problem but about a year later about 20% of it broke off (a corner). Seeking to avoid being ripped of by private dentists with their post-Covid monopoly, I contacted the Newcastle dentist to put it to her that as it wasn't practicable for me to come back to Newcastle for the repair and the job had been done on the NHS, wasn't it reasonable for her to assist me in getting the repair done on the NHS in my new location. She didn't even have the courtesy to speak to me: her reception eventually just told me that the assistance I was asking for was not how the system worked. Charming!

@dr.elliephillips16 күн бұрын
No it doesn't. If it did, people would wipe out all their oral bacteria with martini cocktails.... For alcohol to be "sterilizing" it needs to dry completely and be around 60-70% alcohol. If you use alcohol sanitizing wipes they say not to use on wet or dirty hands The mouth is both wet with saliva and 'dirty" with biofilm/slime. The Listerine is 21% alcohol and this is then diluted in the mouth and the mouth is protected by slime/biofilm. The use of things like baking soda or peroxide that strip biofilm from surfaces is far more damaging. Furthermore, the active ingredients in Listerine are essential oils - eucalyptus, menthol and thymol in very dilute concentrations. They target immature plaque bacteria. i recommend rinsing Listerine out of the mouth with ACT anyway. DrEllie.com

KZbin recommended a video featuring Dr. Mark Burhenne discussing oral health and Dr. Ellie's system. He shared some alarming information, saying that using the system for more than two weeks could lead to serious issues like high blood pressure, weight gain, depression, and more. I wonder if Dr. Ellie is aware of his claims and whether Dr. Burhenne is a reputable doctor.🥵🥶🥵😌🥵🥶

I think that much of our facial bone structure nowadays is due to not using our jaws, tongues and teeth the way nature intended. Our jaws atrophy. At age 50, I've recently finished a slow four-year palatal and mandibular expansion to make plenty of room to welcome all of my teeth.

at 50? Are you growing new teeth? Are the old ones growing bigger lol?
@myoldvhstapes2 ай бұрын
@@sufficetosay I grew more bone to widen the palate and mandible. Classic teenage braces made my teeth look straight for a while back in the 80s/90s, but did nothing to address the narrow palate, which only worsened over the decades. Five years ago, my lower front teeth were so severely crowded that one tooth was behind the others in its own row. Now ALL 31 of my teeth are in their rightful place (I ignorantly let one healthy wisdom tooth be removed when I was young) because the jaw finally has room for them. See the Orthotopics page for an explanation.

What are your thoughts on using ozone injected into the space after an extraction to try to get rid of the infection that was happening under the tooth? Would your system plus xylitol be enough to clear out that kind of infection? I had a mercury amalgam removed from tooth #19 five years ago, which resulted in a crown, which never felt right, which became painful and infected, which had to be extracted. Was given a course of oral antibiotics, but not sure the extraction site was cleaned out properly. Would ozone be helpful before and/or after the ceramic implant is placed?

I use a Micro Nano Manual Toothbrush Extra Soft Bristles Toothbrush with 20,000 Bristles because anything else would hurt like a mofo and also because that's what your pdf dictates we use. All your videos say otherwise ofc, maybe we can get a clear answer on this. That study is for rats and has not been extrapolated to humans yet, and they were given 10 mg a day. The tiny amount in toothpaste, which you do not swallow, I would not imagine to make much difference. FDA considers it safe. Sweets have a ton of it, I would think that's a bigger concern.

Please suggest similar products available on Flipkart. I haven’t had good delivery service to villages in India with Amazon. "If Listerine has a label stating that it removes 99.9% of germs from the whole mouth and also claims to help prevent gum problems, bad breath, and plaque, is it okay to use it? Also, suggest a combination to balance its acidity. Is it okay to use a toothpaste containing 0.02% sodium fluoride if 0.05% sodium fluoride is not available on Flipkart? What about fluoride-related issues if we use fluoride-containing toothpaste?"
