@@tamaralong-partei6129 Spoons have been a symbol of love all over Europe for hundreds of years. Historically a courtship custom, a man would carve a small spoon out of one piece of wood and present it to a girl as a gift. If she accepted the spoon, it was taken as a token of engagement to be married.

Joshua is a great artist,I love the things he makes..this tree is fantastic!😍 The beads are actually called Millefiori. Normally you see the “thousand flowers”,which ofcourse is the translation for Millefiori, in glass and they’ll have more depth. But I think you and Melissa already knew all this.😊 Unbelievable how much beautiful jewelry you found..and super sweet you kept the birds brooch and the tiny mouse separate for Melissa.🙏🏻🥰

Dear Archbold couple. 👍👌👏 Congrats for finding all the jewelry. 2) The "Spoonsai" is an awesome piece of art done by an extremely talented friend of yours. It fits perfectly! Not only the niche (despite the special elbow measurement!😁) but also because it's recycled/upcycled stuff out of your hoarder house projects. It was quite a big effort to put the "Spoonsai" together (Josh mentioned 13 hrs). Congratulations for having this beautiful piece in your wonderful house now. Best regards, luck and especially health to all involved people.

03:49 Button hook, not laces. 04:28 likely bone. Older ones were ivory, but a lot of places ban ivory sales so regardless it's "bone". 😁 The coral rose earrings had silver posts - costume metal for sure. The RCA cufflinks may have been for a sales manager rather than a buyer. There probably aren't many around. 13:55 Italian millefiore. NICE. (the mouse...here Chewie!) The old pins and ballerina pieces were a "thing", late 40s to late 50s. Possibly into the 60s. 17:25 French (probably) glass, and OLD if it's that small. Women were smaller back when and 12 or 13 inch chokers weren't rare. 19:33 French plastic Melissa-nabbed pin, probable 1920s. Trombone clasp and all. Sometimes called "french ivory" if it's celluloid. Josh's tree thing...NICE.

Italian micro mosaics is called tesserae, gold plating over silver is called vermeil, the necklace with the rose carved beads is either ivory or , bakelite or celluloid. If I hear anything else as I watch that could be helpful I will add to. The amber set is not really a set. I would sell them separately to me the most money. You did mention the earrings are huge , I think they would best be used separately as pendants. I think lots of people will be interested in your auction. I once bought a small tub of junk jewelry with a coin bracelet in it. The coins turned out to be Venezuelan gold coins totaling to an ounce of gold. I paid $6 American for the tub. Wonderful find.

A nice “remedy” to use if you’re having to untangle necklace chains…put a drop of oil (baby oil, coconut oil, vegetable oil, the thicker the better) on the knot and start to gently rub the oil in. You’ll see the chains start to separate and the knots will loosen so it’s easier to untangle.

Alex hi I love watching you adventures. Your video is at the begining for me as i write this and no doubt there is so much more i will enjoy. The ?silver hook is called a button hook. Victorian and early Edwardian ladies had slender boots that had very small buttons up the sides and on some gloves too. You insert the hook through the button hole and place it around the base of the button and ease it through. It looks like the carved cream colour beads are ivory.. i am sure you know that if they were bone they would have tiny black flecks from the blood vessels that ran through the bone. I love all your family as you are so united and all you do to help people. Thank you .Marie UK
