My parents had one in their cottage, but you can't get house insurance if you use it. The only way they could get insurance was to block it off and just use it as a decorative piece. After a while, they needed the space for a stove they could actually use, so had to get rid of it. But before the insurance issue, I remember my parents cooking all our meals on it.

You left the table and stove!! ;) I love those. And I love you got the Yamaha and art supplies. And the old bicycle. The old paintings are Great. Ya never know about out buildings. My in-law-grandparents were collectors; not so much, hoarders. Their large out building was (in much better shape) entirely stuffed from floor to ceiling with items that included a Lot from two furnished 3 story Victorian homes they’d bought as an investment after the market crashed when they were young. Amazing finds. Including signs, Alex. Lol. I’m a retired antique dealer, treasure hunter myself. I really enjoy you sharing your adventures with us! I love your family. You guys are awesome! I wonder if the logs from the old house can be salvaged. I’ve had friends that have salvaged old barns and re-milled the logs into floor boards. There might not have been too many great finds in this video, but to me it is always interesting to watch old buildings. The Vintage Psychology today! I would totally grab that as a psych nerd. I love seeing the inside of heritage/Pioneer homes. It's really interesting to see how homes were constructed with the technology and materials they had but also how they personalized the design of their homes. The beauty of these buildings in their dereliction is lovely to see but also a bit sad. Had they been better kept up, the area could have been turned into a living museum (see Upper Canada Village in Ontario). That overgrown garden is just lovely! Also, you should start bringing gloves with you in the car so that you're not getting covered in grime and animal waste. Thanks for the lovely adventure this morning.
