Not a new episode for me, title is Out of Sight. The 1986 crash in the city of Cerritos hit the local news at the time, mid-flight hit between a small private plane and commercial airline.

Why do the narrators on these show make reference to altitude in meters when it is feet that is the standard in the flying business?
@Gary-pe4ce2 жыл бұрын
Probably for the audience (whoever uses meter only) to understand better
@rapsure50962 жыл бұрын
Because it's a British narrator.

@@rapsure5096 Wrong answer! TV programs don't use the measurement system based on who the narrator is. The TV program bases it on what measurement the country uses who broadcasts the TV program. In this case, Canada 🇨🇦. Canada uses metric, so that's why it's stated in kilometers & meters.

because the show is a canadian production

Does anyone know,are the news helicopters effecting the fires in a negative way?
@_MjG_2 жыл бұрын
They wouldn't be that low because of how incredibly loud helicopters are & the noise pollution they would create for the people below. Also in this specific case, the rotor downwash blowing the debris around & whatever yellow material they used to cover body parts. Even at 60 meters/200 feet, the rotor downwash would be nonexistent, but the helicopter wouldn't be that low because of the noise level for those below.
@funkndonut Жыл бұрын
they don't fly low enough for rotor wash. they get footage using telephoto lenses and are far away from their subjects.
