Your updated NYM video was a huge game changer for me! My curls never lasted... even day 2 was questionable. I am on day 3 and they look amazing! I am so grateful. My husband is on his way to the grocery store so I added the refresh foam and plump for joy to his lost. Hope they have them because I am excited to try them. Thank you for helping me to embrace my routine again, during quarantine I have really let it go and just didn't care. Now, I feel so much better.

It’s funny how you can watch a ton of videos on the same topic, but one just stands out. I am so glad I found this video!!!😍 Every other refresh video I have found starts out with already curly hair and a little frizz. When I wake up my hair still looks like I’m against a pillow, and one side has straight pieces, much like yours. This was a great tutorial on how to fix those issues using particular products! I need to try the plumping spray! Thank you so much for this!👏

Love this video!! It's helped me a lot... I bought the NYM refreshing foam and it worked great. I have the plump for joy thickening spray and it WORKS great for volume but it makes my hair dry. 😭My hair can only do 2nd day refresh. I spray the Ouidad botanical boost (refresh spray) to saturate my hair, then I add water with a fine most spray bottle to saturate my hair more (I have to have my hair really wet because if it's not wet enough I get frizz), then I add the NYM refreshing foam and I diffuse. My hair looks like I washed my hair. I can't add hair products like gels or mousse on 2nd day hair because it weighs my hair down and looks oily and feels and looks like I have too much hair product. I was having issues with the Curl Talk line but last week I tried the leave in conditioner and then the mouse and my hair was shiny with a lot of definition and a lot of volume 😍 you have to try it out! It is an awesome routine if you just air dry

I use the Not Your Mother's refreshing foam with the Ouidad refreshing spray and I like my results. I did try the Not Your Mother's curl talk mousse and I liked it. It gave me defined curls and volume but it made my hair dry, so I went back to the Ouidad vitacurl mousse mentioned in this video but I had better results with Not Your Mother's mousse.. If it didn't make my hair dry I would have stayed with Not Your Mother's mousse and not Ouidad. Good luck guys..

I've found that the refreshing foam works best for me on DRY hair! crazy right?? i find that the product itself adds water and dampens my hair. when i apply on dry hair i find it gives me bigger curl clumps, which i personally love as my hair tends to become stringy as the days go on. also, from watching all three of your previous videos all about the new NYM curl talk products, it seems like you didn't know they already had a shampoo and conditioner when it first released with the cream, gel, and mousse! (so 5 total) i personally love the original shampoo, and they also have a three-in-one conditioner (these were part of the original release). I've only tried the scalp care oil cleanser and the foam from their new products, and i enjoy them both

I really recommend T gel by Neutrogena or and shampoo with sulfate! An itchy scalp can become dangerous (healthy scalp leads to healthy hair). You can clarify depending on your hair needs but the sec my hair has anykind reaction I make sure to wash with sulpate good luck I hope this helps

I bought the cream and gel and don’t like it , it makes my head itchy and doesn’t do much to my hair . I don’t apply to my scalp . I stop using it these week and my hair looks better with out it . I just put leave in conditioner I believe is the Jane Carter one and use gel dippity do . I will like to try Curlsmith line . Love your hair good videos .

It came out amazing. If I were to try that I'd be a frizzy mess. For some reason, no matter whose routine I try, or which products (high end or pharmacy) my hair just doesn't refresh well. Ever. I literally have to wet it in the shower, recondition, detangle, and go from there.

When I tried the mouse it felt gritty and drying in my hair. It did give great hold though. Is the foam similar in “feel”, or is it lighter?

Emily Knetzer Did you use the mousse alone or with other products? Was your hair very wet or dry? If it was too dry it might feel that way. Next time try adding it to very wet hair and see if it makes a difference. Also use a little bit, not too much. The foam feels very different, more lighter and wet
