Refreshing is the most difficult aspect of being curly for me. Watching your refresh was very helpful.

Does it dry out your hair? Or weight it down? I’m looking to buy the hairspray

It does dry my hair a little, but I find the benefits outweigh the cons. I make sure get it super rehydrated on my wash day @@gracedottavi3174

Hi Aline, I’m so glad this was helpful. It was a lot of refreshing this week, whew! Hopefully, when you find a great product combo for your hair, you may not need to refresh much at all. It really depends on your lifestyle and the look you’d like to achieve too.

@@TheCurlStory i refresh almost everyday when I go to work... I'm hoping to not do it so often, but not with your other video talking about work styles for your hair, that might make it easier for me! Thanks

Try using Spiralicious alone! I wonder if that would eliminate the frizz. I can't use the other Jessicurl stylers..they make my hair frizzy too! But the Spiralicious gel alone works beautifully for me. I need to try that hair spray though!
@TheCurlStory2 жыл бұрын
Good to know! I like using the hairspray before diffusing my hair. It helps to reduce frizz during that drying process. It can make your hair feel a little stiff or tacky when wet, but it does soften up after it’s dried. You can also still scrunch out the crunch from the gel & hairspray if needed too. Try it with a silky scarf to reduce any product transfer to your haves.

Thank you for this video!! I love it!! I like the way you refresh, i'm gonna try this way, 'cause i'm always watering every day and it's getting tiring.

I'm so glad you reviewed Jessie Curl! I'm an all Innersense gal myself, but lately I've tried the hairspray you showed here and the Spiralicious Gel for a cheaper alternative. I like them as a good hold, but noticed I feel a residue on my. hands after my hair has dried completely, or when I refresh later in the week. Did you notice that too? My hair is very similar to yours. I love your videos- thank you!!
@TheCurlStory3 жыл бұрын
Hi Wendy, I agree, I wanted to test this product line as an clean alternative too. The Jessicurl products did feel more producty compared to Innersense, but I did love the enhanced curl and hold I received too, so I’m going to experiment with it more - and I feel that I might use the products differently, if that makes sense - for a certain type of finish. I’ll stick with the last combo or try to combine with other product lines. I’ll make a follow-up video on this. The product line also has a finishing oil, which I’m curious to know how it would affect the look and feel of the hair too. Keep me updated on your experiences! 🙏

I left the crunch in this week and didn’t scrunch it out. I put it in a pineapple then a satin cap and I have much better hold this week. I used a light spray conditioner from Shea moisture and then Not my mother’s mousse. I wanted to try the brand you were using but I think I won’t now.

It definitely depends on the results you are trying to achieve. I loved the curl enhancement and the final product combo I tried was great.

I wish I could try the Aquavescent hairspray but in Europe we have to wait unitl it's launched here. I lóve Spiralicious , it's one of my go-to's for years now... but I'm not fond of the Rockin Ringlets... that one does encourage curls for sure, but in a way it makes my hair feels a bit dry-is and more prone to frizz.
@TheCurlStory3 жыл бұрын
Thank you for sharing! It’s so helpful to hear more experiences with these products. Do you like to use the Spiralicious gel with other stylers over or under it?
@hardenzielig3 жыл бұрын
@@TheCurlStory most of time I do use a little hold-related product on top of the Spiralicious; I first apply Spiralicious, rake through and scrunch. When clumps are looking decent I go on with the next step otherwise I correct where needed. I do it this way while correcting after I've added in a stronger product it doesn't work for me. Great products to layer after the Spiralicious are Boucleme strong gel (pink tube) or the Ecoslay Jello Shot. The Jello Shot is thick and a little goes a long way, but this works great, on top of the Jessicurl, hair is still wet: take a little Jello Shot like the size of a pinknail on one hand, wet the other hand and rubb hands together... product will emulsify and become slippery... pet over the wet hair and scrunch. I love to do just another scrunch again but now with a soft towel to remove excess water, but not too much though. Then diffuse. The thing with the Jello Shot on wetted hands is also great for refreshes.

How did you like the hairspray? I’ve been curious about that because it’s alcohol free. And you hair looked great when you used it.
@TheCurlStory3 жыл бұрын
The hairspray worked! It held my curls all day, even after scrunching out the crunch. It did make my hair feel crispy to the touch when it first dried, but it softened after scrunching out the crunch. It really sped up the air drying too. I would recommend it on wet hair to add extra hold and keep the curls from separating during the day and preventing frizz. I want to test this combo in humid weather too!
@krenger23 жыл бұрын
@@TheCurlStory that’s great! I know you like the Innersense hairspray too, but that didn’t provide any hold for me when I used it, wet or dry. Looking forward to seeing further testing from you!
@TheCurlStory3 жыл бұрын
@@krenger2 "Yes, I do love the Innersense Hairspray so much. It's never stickly, and provides a light, natural looking hold. I love it mostly to smooth down flyaways and prevent frizz. If you pick up the Jessicurl spray, I'd love to hear what you think of it in your climate. It's sticky when first applying it, but dries quickly. The packaging says it's great for humidity protection.

What is your hair cut style? I need layers but, I’m afraid.
@TheCurlStory2 жыл бұрын
I understand! I have medium density, wavy curls. Since the spring of my curls can vary with styling or the weather, I prefer a wet cut of layers, no thinning.
