Hi Curly Chemist! im a subscriber who loves your channel ❤ I wanted to ask if you were open to breaking down the chemical differences in nanoplasty treatments vs more popular hair botox treatments. Nanoplasty salons tout the treatment as a "natural" alternative to hair botox (while hair botox is supposedly a natural alternative to keratin treatments 😂😭) a lot of videos seem to show both treatments producing harsh fumes when heat is applied, though. I've seen creators compare both nanoplasty and hair botox to a deep conditioner, but I'm skeptical. Do you have an opinion on efficacy of these "chemical free" treatments?

@ : Frankly, I am not sure. I feel like my roots have a lower porosity than my ends. But I do not at all factor porosity into my haircare routine or product choices. I have failed to understand its significance and that’s the truth.

I am over 40 (43 going on 44). I have low porosity 4c hair. When I was younger leaving it alone and washing in twists once a week was enough to grow it. Now i have found i must do scalp massages daily in addition to washing once a fortnight and hydrating daily. I also can't use tighter protective hairstyles. Otherwise my parts just widen and the styles look way too scalpy.

I just had a convo with a girlfriend of mine who exclusively wears puffs, braids, and twist outs. I rollerset her hair and she was complaining her hair was thin, and after observing her hair while styling i told her…i think her hair actually is very dense but she looks like she has a lot of water fatigue, as well as mid shaft breakage all thru out her hair…similar to what happens to women who get sew ins all the time. I offered to rollerset her hair to keep it stretched, but keep her curl pattern intact and I’m interested to see how her hair grows out over time. Figuring out how to style your hair in a way that keeps ur hair looking how you want AND keeping’s hairs in ur head looks different for everyone.

You mentioned vitamins, one a day multivitamin every day and biotin 3 days a wk, consistently for 10 YEARS, I have been up on them and the one thing I noticed is being 60 this year, my HAIR COLOR IS NOT GRAYING YET! I have a few grays in my hairline but not many and I still have brown hair. Not lying, even my pubs are still brown! I haven't dyed my hair in 4 yrs so I didn't realize that I really am not graying heavily yet. That's not even hereditary because my mother was gray in her 60's so I strongly believe it's from the vitamins. My hair is just starting to retain length because I tried so many diys oils and concoctions that never worked but after watching your videos I developed a routine and just started sticking to creamy leave ins water and hair grease and now I'm retaining length and my brown hair is pretty. Didn't realize brown looks good on me when all throughout my 40s and 50's I dyed it jet black. I also stopped dying it because it caused so much breakage but didn't think I would LOVE my Brown Natural hair as much as I do!

Link to the first study? Because the one I know of that was done on black women with type 4 hair suggests that we wash are hair about once every 3 days and that once a week is too long/infrequent. Also it would be good idea to cite the studies you mention in the description.

I may try hair vitamins. I'm not sure which one to take. I don't want the dosage to be very high. It bothers me sometime. Can you recommend a low-dose of vitamin CI do eat oranges every day at least 2 cuties every single day for real. But. I haven't took a vitamin in over 20 years. For my hair and my hair. Is that would you recommend? I am 63 years old. And just. Don't want too much. Thank you, kindly. Your hair is beautiful God bless you❤❤❤❤

I take the “Olly” brand gummies - the one’s called “Beauty” vitamins (they have one specifically for “Hair”, however the Biotin content of the “Beauty” one is easiest on my stomach). I’m over 55 years old myself, and I’ve been taking the Olly Beauty for about 3 years now w very good results. I have 4A hair that’s about an inch beyond bra-strap length; I think the hair vitamins have helped a lot w the thinning/shedding I was experiencing as I move through perimenopause & menopause. Good luck to you!

@antoinettechevalier2453 I'm trying. To get some without lilton and I don't want a large doses. So when I go to my Doctor I'll see what she says maybe she can recommend me something. I used to take the hair skin and nail vitamins years ago from nature's bounty, but that was years ago. May. Be, I'll go back to that, but they want you to take 2.

Third! Hey girl thank you so much for sharing! Ive commented this before but thought I would ask and comment again… I want to try out rosemary water but I saw a comment under someone else’s video saying “Herbs are also antibacterial and anti microbial, so it may work for a while because you might have an imbalance of bad bacteria on your scalp, but then it will eventually start killing off your good bacteria as well and your scalp’s micro biome will be imbalanced and you could eventually start seeing excessive hair shedding.” Is this true? Can it be true? The commentator said they’ve seen it happen so many times and figured they would just share the facts of what herb oils have been proven to do to the scalp over time. The commentator recommend digesting rosemary instead of putting it on your scalp. Please let me know your thoughts and opinion.
@CurlyChemistry

I haven’t seen that as an issue. Rosemary found in my tea rinse or even rosemary diluted in sweet almond oil supports scalp health. The biggest way to disrupt the scalp microbiome is product build up as mentioned in this video and infrequent shampooing.
